Tzeentchs Infernal Gateway* or whatever his vortex spells name is, without overcasting, would had absolutely ripped that blob up. Purple Sun is just "oh look at me im a scary floating circle that misses everything and does shit damage".

@@kenny187ful To be honest, I didn't like how it performed in WH2 either. Whenever I had to use it (or wanted to give it another shot) I ended up wishing I could cast Pit of Shades instead. In my opinion, if its wandering vortex behaviour has to stay, it should have increased damage, so that it is still random, but when it hits, it HITS.

Yeah, i was really dissapointed to see how many Spells they lose when ascending. Look at tzeentch, He loses seering Doom, pink fire and final Transmutation, arguably the best Spells of both Lores. Given how Long it Takes to get one at high Level, why Not give him both Lores Like Manfred has l. Still looking for a Mod, anyone knows one?

It's sad that Daniel is so underpowered compared to stuff like this. I hope they seriously look at his parts so that he can become more powerful than warriors of chaos demon princes. They need serious stat buffs.

there's a mod that doubles the stats on his parts. it basically allows him to be playable and actually become a fun lord to play with. same dude that made the mod also made a 3x version of the mod if you truly want to mess around.

NPC Nakai really needs to be able to respawn his hoard at a "Defenders of the Plains" settlement cause otherwise if the Ai hasn't gotten a second army the moment AiNakai looses one battle he's gone forever unless you have the mod for defeated LL

The main weakness (I've found) of Purple Sun is not in the spell itself, but in how the lore utilises the spell. Purple Sun is one of three damaging spells in Death Magic, with the main emphasis of the lore being on supporting allies and debuffing enemy leadership (through Soulblight and Doom and Darkness) Purple Sun, for 15 winds of magic, does 12 AP damage per tick Flame Storm, for 13 winds of magic, does 17 damage per tick, 6 of which is AP That's already a disparity, but let's not forget lore attributes. Kindleflame gives all enemies on the map a 20% weakness to fire for 15 seconds when casting, covering more than half of the duration. Death Magic's passive increases recharge rate. And then the overcast versions. Flamestorm gains more damage (gaining 5 non-ap damage), and doubles its duration from 27 seconds to 54, for 7 more winds, and costs 7 more W.O.M Purple Sun simply doubles its duration from 13 seconds to 26, and costs 10 more winds of magic. Not only is the maximum potential damage that much lower, but it's more expensive to do so. This just goes to show that Death Magic needs some tweaks to work. If you wanna play into the Leadership Reduction effects of Death Magic, have Purple Sun deal a large additional leadership debuff to units in the area.

I prefer Fate of Bjuna instead of Purple Sun in lore of Death since atleast I know that with Fate of Bjuna I'm not wasting my magic on a "will it hit or not" spell.

5:38 to 7:14 is complete agony. The most perfect blob for magic I have ever seen and it took so long for legend to do anything about it

@@kenny187ful Yeah, back in TW2, a Purple Sun would have instantly deleted any infantry model it touched. Not sure why they nerfed it, either, as even back in TW2 it was already one of the least cost-effective damage spells. Now it seems to be just garbage.

@@Riwillion Purple sun was pretty bad in TW2 as well. It was amazing in the first game, was eventually nerfed into oblivion by CA and death magic has been a pretty terrible lore ever since. Despite what the multiplayer crazies say, spirit leach is an extremely bad offensive spell as well. Legend is completely correct as far as death magic goes.

I love Nurgle Demonprinces. Ok spellcaster, good meele, mortis engine and can have regen through boons. Lots of health.

@@Maksi-nw9ws it's advanced magic though and should be compared with Flamestorm, Chain Lightning or Pit of Shades. If that spell was like Bladewind from Dark Magic, then it would be kinda decent.

You can get daemon princes as daemon faction too, so kugath faction can get nurgle demon prince, but they can't become that strong, because you don't have gifts of chaos or path of glory passives as nurgle.

On the topic of the trait manager, I think a good "for a community joke" project would br sending in people using the trait editor to try to make the wekest thinkable lord (Cathayan general/minister?) Into a one man doomstack.

Wouldn't be hard with a trait manager. Seeing as how you can use to equip cross faction traits and other stuff you normally wouldn't be able to gain. You could get 90% ward save, 50% extra hit points, and regen before even touching other stuff like physical resistance. Then you still have like 30 traits left over to stack attack stats and bound abilities.

I am making my own Nurgle Prince, so: savescumming path of glory boons was pain in the bottom I had to go for sword of Kain, as Gotrek was nowhere to be found I can confirm it is a monster ;)

Nurgle Demon Prince not having blight boil and stream of corruption is so disappointing.

Its kind of confusing BUT if you play as one of the specific god aligned factions you don't have to use a specific magic lore user in order to dedicate to whatever god the faction is aligned with. In my festus campaign I would use a metal wizard and I could mark them with Nurgle and even had a fire wizard I could mark with Nurgle. HOWEVER when I started my Archaon campaign and selected a metal or a shadow wizard I could only mark him with tzeentch/slaanesh respectively.

when you mark any caster their spell lore changes to that gods preferred spells list. So if you had actually marked that metal or fire wizard you would have had to chose to make them either a death or nurgle caster.

@@pureityXXX Right, but I meant the starting undivided lord can be of any lore IF you are playing as any one of the three champions that can mark magic users. So in my festus campaign I started with an undivided metal lord and made him nurgle caster, but can't do that in my archaon campaign.

I'm starting to think those random movement spells should just spiral outwards. Similar effect on lines but better for these things.

21:28 It says up to the cap. It tells you how much you can regenerate before that.

i think the way the heal cap notifier works is it tells you the theoretical maximum health the unit can obtain during that battle, which is why it reflects the current health of heal-capped units

Damn, Mortis engine on a one-man doomstack is incredibly good. The fact that you can get rid of chaff while dueling something that poses real threat saves you time and winds of magic.

What he didn't mention is that as well as the Mortis Engine DP of Nurgle also has damage reflection. It's not that great in a 1v1 but when you're surrounded in a blob it's basically doubling the Mortis Engine effect.

@@quint3ssent1a Yeah, Curse of the Leper. Units behind and to the side of you get bonus MA, so even with that amount of MD they're going to hit more often getting double the Mortis Engine damage.

Specifically aligned factions will divert all the other daemon-prince paths to their specific god (except undivided) so you can start as dumb things like Shadow in a Nurgle faction and end up as a Nurgle Prince. Whereas in an Undivided faction Shadow is aligned to Slaanesh.

One way you could get a trait list like that is to always replace the Lord and only bring him in to get traits. That's said, it would be still tidious and would require reloads as you don't wanna get a useless victory against specific race traits, which the lords usually get after 2-3 battles after the specific race.

You actually get it as an unmarked trait after I think the very first battle. He may have been using the trait manager to delete useless traits.

I was going to say that the order of traits was due to devoting to Nurgle and Ascending, which resets pretty much all of your traits except for defeat traits, but something doesn't add up. There shouldn't be things like sapper and Victory over Cathay above Ascended Adept of Nurgle. What's weird is you can see from the map that he sent armies to most of those locations, so he probably used an infinite movement mod and did some tweaking with a trait manager. Unless that trait wiping behavior changed recently.

@@ragnos13 He says he originally made an older save version that got those traits legit and probably did exploit trait-wiping. But this particular version is a recreation via the manager. And he fully admits he never did get Gotrek legit because the AI hates recruiting him these days. And the map's so much bigger with so many good guy factions.

Hi guys me again this is my Daemon Prince of Nurgle and yes I did use the trait manager for this one (I did make one without the mod before patch 2.2 but legend never got to that one so I had to make it again but used the mod to speed it up and I added Gotreks trait cuz I can never find that guy) His actual healing cap bonus is +55% Legend didnt check the Fecundites tech tree and it has a tech near the start called Rotten Relics which gives +10% per gift of Nurgle active and I had 4 active so that's 40% + the path to glory of 15% = 55% If anyone has any other questions about this guy feel free to ask!

​@@jamesferguson1333 Because Former adept of Shyish gives the skill life leeching and the Daemon Prince of Nurgle already has Life Leeching in his skill tree and I assumed they didn't stack so went with shadows for the speed but it didn't seem all that necessary could have gone with metal for the small damage boost also

When it says "Can regen up to x" it's just saying that, provided you use all of your remaining regen, x is how much health you will have. It doesn't tell you how much actual regen health you have left

Hi Legend, don't know if you're gonna read this but I've got a suggestion for you which could make it also fun for the viewers. How about for example in this instance. Why wouldn't you just use all abilities and spells the lord has and try to smash the enemies in a more entertaining way. What I mean is to use all you have, that way we get to see the power of that lord has. With items, spells and abilities. I get that sometimes you wanna try few minutes just with fists to show off his survival and how he is in melee, but that phase doesn't have to be long. Anyway, it's just something I wanted to share as a long time viewer of your work here on KZread. Cheers for your growth man, you've earned it.

How exactly do I get a demon prince with 2 spell lines? I'm playing as Be'lakor right now and have an undivided death mage. I can make him to an undivided demon prince, a nurgle death wizard or a nurgle nurgle wizard. But never all 3 in one.

Everyone is testing their armies vs whatever the hell endgame crisis they're able to find mostly. It's the same as 4 full armies of chaos in wh2

IMO, doomstacks that use cheats should be disqualified.

Then almost all of them would be disqualified. These are insanely time-consuming to build well. The large majority of those sent in have likely used some amount of modding or console commands to make it work. Some use less than others though, so it won’t always be obvious.

Where did his unbreakable come from?

I guess lore wise generic demon prince is superior due to how he became one. To become generic prince you have to prove yourself and get rewarded for your deeds. As for Daniel, he became demon prince not because he was awesome or had enough experience he could write in his CV, no he was chosen because he was easy to corrupt and was weak and easy to manipulate. Daniel should be weak as fk 1-30 lvl and if he proves he deserve to be called prince he should be rewarded properly with boons of chaos.

What is sad is that Ku'gath faction can get it too but it will be weaker than the WoC one cos it will not get the 3 marks of chaos...

Well it's also easier to get though, as WoC you have to get them higher level. As Nurgle you get to level 15, which doesn't take too long and you have them, which lets you have them for more armies even if they can't be as effective. Note that you can save daemon princes as well now (I think it was bugged before) so you can transfer them into a newer game, though I'm not sure if they can transfer between Monogod factions and WoC or, if they do, if they keep the bonuses from WoC in the Monogod factions.

I think they should roll Yuri/ Daniel into Warriors or make him and Be'Lakor more of a faction Mainly because I want all Daemon Princesto be more customisable

Unless they're hitting him in the side or back, which as a single entity is very likely and is why Legend wanted them to hit him in the back. I don't remember the modifiers exactly but I think they have -45% MD on the side, and -75% on the back.
