Balto may have gotten the fame and glory of the world but Togo won in all the ways that mattered: Nome is proud of him to this day. His offspring continue to be the world's best sled dogs. But regardless who had gotten the most attention, all of those dogs who participated in that run should be honored.

Well, Balto never had a chance to have offspring as his original owner Seppala had him castrated as a pup because he felt Balto would not become a superior sled dog. Seppala also advised Klassen not to use Balto as a lead dog. Klassen did otherwise and the rest is history.

@@westentrance no Togo did not really do anything all he did was run a couple miles and stuff but Togo did it all and was not noticed or appreciated unlike balto because he took all the credit

Willem Dafoe is an incomparable actor. He makes movies that he deeply cares about. And this movie 'Togo' (2019) is an absolutely magnfiicent rendition of a dog's indomitable spirit.

Can't even imagine a world without dogs 🐕 they're the precious gift of god ❤❤❤

Thank you Togo and Balto, and all the other dogs who ran...They were all heroes and went through so much to get that medicine to those children, thank you to all that commemorate them with stories and statues.

Togo already considered too old and he led his team for 231 miles. That's a True Dog Hero. He didn't get the Glory he should have.

Togo was such a magnificent dog. He deserved all the praise. It makes me sad that Balto received all the praise until this movie. I just want the people to know the truth that Togo's team's journey was far harsher and riskier than Balto's and those brave heroes deserve statues built after them!

Such a heart warming story. I can't hold back the tears, they won't stop. I love this story. God bless them.

Omg i cant belive they made a statue out of balto even though Togo was the one who got the medicine.

watching this movie brought so much stress to me... I'm heartbroken now. I wished they have longer life span.

all the dogs there were heroes. all all of them. the mushers, the dogs, one team, to save people

The best movie I ever watched..Togo best hero and it's owner.❤️😊

Had the chance to own a "Togo:". Once and maybe only once in a life time. When kenneled, found his way out and into the kennel office waiting for the manager to arrive in the morning. He had a bark from hell to raise the dead. But, never bit a soul. All delivery people must have had it marked on docs and no one rang our bell ever. I am sure we were marked "Dog!" Never needed a burglar alarm. He was paid in food and love. Loved children and was kind to other dogs. He passed away at 13 and although at hundred pounds considered old, too soon for us.. Too old now to have a "Togo" again, all that energy, smarts and care. But, we should all have known a Togo once in our life time.

Togo, more than a Heroe.. So intelligent, faithfull who always wanted to be the Best for his master🙏🙏🙏💫💫 my dods would probally act the same way🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

It’s no different than us losing the dog that lay with us thru heartaches and sickness and all kinds of sadness. They are heroes too. RIP Injun.😢

The dog that plays the adult Togo in the movie is a so-called Seppala Siberian named Diesel (the “Seppala Siberian” is now its own breed) and is actually Togo's great-grandson, “14 generations removed,” according to the movie's director. -Not like "The call of the wild". :D

Still one of my favorite films. I love Togo and yearn for the day when I can send a disc to all of my friends and family who don’t have or want to subscribe to D+.

I do recognize Disney as a great company. Incredible actor like Willem Dafoe and implementation team. They deserve great honor. I have seen the movies a couple of time. The 2nd time, I can't stop my tears, especially the picture of "Togo watching Dafoe at the mountain, a eagle bypass flying, it seems Togo is saying" Why you leave me along? why you don't want me? I am a lead dog". That's so touching !!
