    Insane this case hasn't gone to trial yet. If you lived or worked in grandview area you knew who Karen Harmeyer was. She was a homeless woman that would talk to everybody. Even though she was homeless people loved her. I remember when I worked in that area people would come in near christmas and hand me gift cards and they would say "Give this to Karen if you see her." Some people even wanted to help her get off the street but she didn't want to. When she was murdered no family came forward to claim her body so the community of grandview came together and paid for her funeral. Jackson county needs to get their crap together and prosecute this SOB.
