So glad Unicron Trilogy getting so much love. Even if its a bit lacking still glad we finally have a new version of Vector Prime.

I really hope they give him new forearms entirely, since his arms from the shoulder down are held on by mushroom pegs. I can see how DNA could really add a lot of pizzazz to this release. Combine a Toyhax release for him and you'll have an alltimer.

He’s a retool, yes, but he’s an extensive retool working off of an already great mold. Does he break the streak of near-perfection that Cybertron had within Legacy/Evolution/United up until now? Yes. But he’s by no means a Selects Hot Shot-tier wink to Cybertron fans that’s just a G1 character with a non-G1 head. Before you say “but Galaxy Upgrade Optimus”, but nothing. That figure elevates the mid Siege Magnus into something fun and deserves kudos for getting a unique Optimus out of a mostly G1 Magnus. It’s a good companion piece to United Vector Prime considering both are better-than expected retools.

I’m a Unicron Trilogy fanboy but tbh Galaxy Upgrade Prime was just not as good as Siege Magnus, who the mold was clearly a better fit for. Cybertron Prime definitely needs a redo.

It looks really good, I just wish there were more paint apps. I recently bought the Galaxy Force release of him and it's so beautiful compared the the US version. I'll pick him up because I want to support the Legacy Cybertron stuff as much as possible, but he falls just short of the original toy imo.

You mentioned that the port on the fore of ship mode can be opened up with careful transformation, but you never showed that off.

Just got mine today. Just wanted to say that there is enough space between the arms in alt mode to store the rear fins away without needing to completely remove them.

You know I'm perfectly happy with my Cybertron version (especially after adding some extra gold paint) but if they do the Universe repaint for this toy I'm in💸

Just picked this guy up from Target earlier today. So far, I'm not entirely sure the mold wears the character well. But maybe he'll grow on me. If nothing else, this is probably the only Vector Prime I'll ever own, considering how expensive the original toy is. My copy also has a couple loose tabs, which is fun.

Cant wait to get mine! I had the original as a kid and it was one of my absolute time favorites and one of the ones I played with the most

His alt mode just doesn't look as cool as Cybertron VP's.

I don't know. I like old Vector Prime's ship design a bit better, and that it comes with Safeguard. I can deal with the lesser articulation and thrusters because I like the overall look of him more. This looks like young Vector Prime.

For me... it's not a bad figure. I wouldn't have any problem accepting this as a different version of Vector Prime. The problem is that it's not actually Galaxy Force/Cybertron Vector Prime. The inaccurate details especially in vehicle mode really bother me. I love the original vehicle mode, it always reminded me of Darth Maul's Infiltrator the way the original one was designed but I don't get that from this one. The only thing that really bothers me about the robot mode is that the kibble on the original toy does a much better job of forming that cape and the kibble on this version is just kind of ugly. It feels more like extra parts they really didn't know what to do with than something that was intentionally designed to be there. But like I said, I wouldn't have any problem calling this a new take on the character. It is recognizable as the character. I just wouldn't call it that version of the character. He really needed a brand new mold rather than a retool in order to get all the correct details. And there's potential for an Alpha Trion if they did make a brand new mold for him.

Personally I’m looking forward to beginning my 13 Primes collection that will enter full swing next year and adding him alongside Optimus, Rodimus, Nova, and Sentinel as well as Alpha Trion.

Originally when this was announced so many people hated on him. Myself included. Now that he is out he has proven to be better than we all expected and I am glad for that. I feel like cybertron has been killing it with the releases this year. Cannot wait for more UT Trilogy figures to come out.

So I don't have this guy yet, nor do I have a Safeguard to give him, but you might be able to use a lego technic pin to attach Safeguard to his arm. I did something similar for my Draculus.

I would’ve given up the opening fists for arm guards.

Going to have to get on shapeways and get a 5mm to minicon adapter. Safeguard HAS to be on his arm

Yeah, the lack of arm guards and proper arm ports for Safeguard are my biggest issues with this mold. Those can’t be overlooked.

There's a slot on his back where the key can store, though not at the same time as the sword, unfortunately. Also the key can be mounted to the sword via a 5mm port in the back. I wish the wings on mine locked in a bit better, but overall I quite enjoy this take on Vector Prime.

I've repurposed Vector Prime as also having been The Last Autobot from the Marvel comics who is also the same being as in the Cybertron cartoon.

Hey there, I'm curious about the toy business and wonder if you get to buy a bulk product from the producers for a lower price, so that you could make a profit?

I see different releases on different websites. One saying August others saying October. Is this on Prerelease?
