I have experienced the Savi's workshop experience yesterday. It was my 27th birthday and I decided to do it. I went there thinking I would just make an appointment there but turns out you need to make an appointment online. Of course, bit bummed, I tried to make one later on but the Disney staff member who was there told me that someone canceled and had a spot open for me. So, I went ahead and took the spot and went in. Of course, I got the Elemental Nature lightsaber, because I wanted the Rancor tooth. Here is where I decided to mix things up and do something no one has ever done. When selecting the kyber crystal, instead of picking the one I want, I decided to pick one at random....while covering my eyes. Luckily, I was the first person to choose, so I had all available options for me, even the staff was surprised that I was choosing a crystal as my eyes were covered. In the end, I ended up getting the blue kyber crystal. Of course I can get new ones, but that was my chosen crystal. I loved the experience and my lightsaber and really enjoyed it. Glad I was able to do it.

Just got back from Galaxy’s Edge a few days ago. There is only one clear choice for saber... Mace Windu’s gold and silver hilt with the purple blade. It’s badass and I had no fear of snakes on ANY planes

You can actually just untwist the two sleeve pieces and take the activation switch parts off to change the Kyber crystal. So you don't have to take off the emitter or pommel parts.

Thanks for the video! You convinced me to go the Savi's route instead of legacy.

I got my Savi saber 2 months ago, very similar to yours. I love it, but I still want to go back and get a Legacy saber.

Cool video and all but I get the feeling that you bought the legacy sabers for the wrong reasons. For example you said you just wanted different color but in reality most of the time ppl buy this as collectors items to get them to look as screen accurate as possible and to shelf them after all, not because of red and blue etc. I would like a couple legacy sabers they look way sleeker and I really love those classic characters I'd never pick a savis over legacy in my opinion. (edit) If you really are geek enough and really want to you definitely can custom legacy sabers to some extent.

Space Scum Exactly what I was thinking. No offense to his review which was good, but it’s a “legacy lightsaber” because you want to buy SOMEONE else’s lightsaber (Anakin, ahsoka, Luke’s, etc) that’s the whole point. You’re not going to buy Anakins saber and make the blade purple, because it’s not realistic. The savi one is cool for all the accessories and such, but it’s “your lightsaber” not the one from the films. 👍🏻👍🏻 I actually have Anakins/Luke/Rey legacy lightsaber and I LOVE IT, I don’t even need the blade in the saber, I just have the hilt sitting on the stand on my desk and it’s just so cool seeing it everyday. That represents “Star Wars” for me, not these Savi Sabers.

I loved my Savi’s experience! And I totally agree with your review! I love my Savi Saber!!

If You Buy Custom Legacy Sabers online through anyone who does custom sabers you can change out the Cyber crystals

In all honesty, both of these look like toys. And for what you'll pay for these (upwards of $300 if you include travel to the park, admission, price of the lightsaber, etc.) you can get a high quality lightsaber that does NOT look like a toy from UltraSabers or SaberForge. And with UltraSabers, if you buy a lightsaber with a silver (white) blade color, you can buy a pack of 10 colored discs for $4 that changes the color of the blade.

The Savis one is quite realistic and good quality, and the $200 price tag is pretty worth it in my opinion, you get: the hilt, the blade, a Kyber crystal, a carry bag, a pin and the experience. On top of that, it’s all custom! The travel to the park and admission is worth it though and I wouldn’t count it towards the price of the lightsaber as it gives you access to one of the greatest parks ever!

I’m going to Disneyland in Sept, I heard recently that Disneyworld changed the price for the Savi’s lightsabers to 219 plus tax, so basically $232, I don’t know if Disneyland has done the same thing yet

I’m going next year with my family. My parents said me and my brother could do Savi’s workshop and then pay so I’m just saving up for a RFD reader for the crystals XD.

In my book expirience outranks everything If you know you know

For $200 you get the hilt, a crystal, sleeve, pin, blade and the experience. We got Protection and Defense and Power and Control. Great sabers

You can only get the 31“by doing savi's you can't buy it, you can only but the 26and 36"blades

It went up $130 for legacy Sabres

I'd do saviis but I'm torn between peace and justice or power and control not only the interchangeable Crystal's and lightsaber parts but afterwards the community are 3d printing parts that are compatible with the saviis lightsaber chassis so it expands the customisation element

Wtf are you talking about dude? The legacy sabers are all metal / other high quality materials. Even though cheaper, the legacy sabers are of a much higher quality than savis. Remember that savis is $200 for a hilt,saber,bag and the experience where as with legacy sabers the hilt will alone costs you $130-180 depending on the saber. Factoring in the blade and bag will add a further $100.

Imma make one and modify it so it has a Black blade

The problem is being able to get a reservation to build a lightsaber. Otherwise, if you want one, you're gonna have to buy a legacy.

You do realize that the Temple Guard is supposed to be a double bladed light saber. That's why it's that size. Disney doesn't sell the coupler. Unlike Asajj or Maul.

My son really wanted it filmed so now I’m looking for someone who maybe was filming at the same time. It was September 11th at 12 o’clock

I guess being an ANH purist, I believe the lightsaber passed from Anakin to Luke, then to Rey, is truly Luke's lightsaber.

They do not feel cheap at all. The only thing is that the parts do not align properly in all cases. There are workarounds to get them to line up if you look around online.

deepzone31 yea I have the protection and defense and the only thing that throws it off is the weird shiny paint on some areas and the miss alignment of the decals and also tightening the sleeves onto the switch

The legacy sabers arent meant for customization they are authentic pieces while savi is a shitty plastic body with some metal

These look really cheap and awful for the price they are charging

Benevolent Tengu I just bought the mace windu hilt and it’s solid milled metal really hefty and sturdy incredibly good quality even better than saberforge/ultra saber imo

SaberForge all day. Duel-worthy, more hilt options, and made to order as opposed to Chinese parts 😂

I love my saber forge saber but! You spend $200 more to get sound and wait for a month or two for it. It’s worth it yeah cause you can chop a tree down with them but for $200 more and the wait time (especially the wait time my god is it painful) Disney is a viable alternative
