Essentially with this trick, you could find out what chips they are using, and start resin casting the crystals to match the color you program to the RFID chip inside. Could make a matching set so you wouldn't have to reprogram it every time you wanted a new color.

Omg, I had no idea it was that easy ... I am in the same boat, I got my lightsaber from Savi's just a few weeks ago, and wanted to buy more crystal's but was on a budget for grownup toys, blew mine on my lightsaber lol, but now I can get more colors, thank you

Im actually putting in the extra effort to use RFID tags, colored resin 3d printed kyber crystals, and this rfid read/writer, to make each of the crystals for all of the colors, instead of having to constantly change the one when a new color is wanted

Actually all kyber crystals are translucent your force nature defines the color, so really doing it without coloring the crystal will be cooler and also when you have kids who like starwars tell them to choose a crystal but remember it chooses you then when they put it in the crystal suddenly glows green.

In fact, there are two different red colors and each one has a different ignition sound. The red Kyber Crystal and the Black Kyber Crystal both produce red blades but with different sound sets.

If its anything like I've seen with LED keyboards and the like, whenever you set it to white its actually a very pale blue. I'm sure there is some science behind it or something but I can't be bothered to look it up for a youtube comment.

To make it realistic, you can have White Kyber Krystal. Then you can change it to different colors. Remember that Kyber Krystals has no color. They only change color depends on the Force User. 🙂

That’s now how that works. Crystal lore has blue, yellow, green, and purple. If a smith tries to make it more powerful the crystal cracks and bleeds turning red. Once it has been cleansed it turns white. It will never hold a color other then white or red again.

Thanks for this video. Confirmed this is working as of 12.7.22. - The device says "Write Failure," but it works. The crystal should be pushed up against the back of the device, and you may need to write the code twice.

last time i went to disney, they had much more different lightsabers you made, those ones look a hell of a lot better than the old one i got years ago.

@@joshual3193 ummm im pretty sure the hand guards are just design choice so he don't get his hands sliced off but it being cracked is true that's why it illuminates differently and makes a cracking noise

@@dominow2121 No, kylo's crystal is actually cracked, thats the explanation for the handguard, if he didnt I think his blade would just blow up because of the excess energy output hahaha

@@megadarkluigi After researching it the hand guards are there to disipate some energy in a functional way so it doesn't explode and also serves a good purpose which is to protect his hands

No thats not true kylo rens saber was synthetic and thats why it was unstable most sith make there light sabers bleed

With a 3d printer and some magnets, one could knock out custom hilt parts too. It actually makes me want to get a savi blade because of how easy they are to customize

No - only the colors of the crystals which are the colors supported by the LEDs in the blade.

It make a custom color you would need to reprogram the blade itself to accept a new code that it doesn’t know.
