Left of Black with Johnnetta Cole

Left of Black host Dr. Mark Anthony Neal sits down with Dr. Johnnetta Cole to talk about the impacts of her work on the Me Too movement and her life of service in the academy and beyond.
Dr. Cole is an anthropologist. She was the first female Black president of Spelman College from 1987-1997. She also was the president of Bennett College from 2002-2007. She was the Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art from 2009-2017.
Dr. Neal teaches Black Popular Culture in the Department of African and African-American Studies at Duke University.

    I’ve always wanted to meet her since I was a kid bc she has the same name as me and there are very few Johnnettas in this world especially ones of this amazing caliber! 😍😍😍🥰

    May 24 and Mr. Floyd is downing drugs and thinking about where he'll buy smokes with a counterfeit bill - there is no serious racism in the USA. May 25 - SERIOUS RACISM BREAKS OUT!
