I just watched the 1971 U.S. Open and was thinking, man, golf used to have soul back then. Nicklaus, Trevino, Palmer, Player, Watson, Ballesteros, etc. were like the Rat Pack of golf, just like this fun grouping. Charismatic guys with authentic, different, and extremely likable personalities. They also swung the club in totally distinct and individual ways which reflected a human element lacking in many players today. Watching Nicklaus in any era is pure magic. Epic back and forth battles.

Lee was so damn good that he could hit great shots even while he was talking and joking with the others. What a fantastic golfer!

very unique - thanks for posting. Am a big Benny fan - from Jack's hair (I know it sounds silly) being long in the back, which he did from 1972 on (1971 and earlier he always kept it cropped short in the back) and the quality of the color video tape, this dates 1972-1973ish, which puts Jack at 78 or 79 years old - he seems pretty limber for that age. He was active up until a few months before he died in Dec 74.
