If you have never seen the episode where Jack referees a professional wrestling match, it is a must watch. He is one of the best comics ever born.

The hole-in-one premise, minus the talking squirrel, of course, actually happened in real life. Notorious cheapskate Fred MacMurray hit a hole-in-one and paid off his partner and caddies while marking a '2' on the scorecard. He figured it would be less expensive than paying for free drinks for the entire clubhouse. Freddie De Cordova, the director on 'My Three Sons' knew about the story and brought it to the writers of the Benny show when he directed Jack's program.

That 'talking squirrel' was voiced by Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs Bunny, a regular on the Jack Benny Show.

So funny. I'm in the UK and had heard of Jack Benny but never seen him on tv. Love all the videos. Very good scripwriting that have stood the test of time.

The golf pro in this is Eric Monti and he played the PGA Tour in the 1940’s to 60’s, finished 6th in 1961 US Open, so he could really play.

The golfer with the mustache played Wilbur Post's father-in-law on Mr. Ed(1961-66) in a couple of episodes(he usually called Wilbur "a kook" 😆), while the guy with the flat top was a judge in a few episodes of Perry Mason(1957-66).

One of the funniest shows on television ever! Well written, great acting, well cast. No other compares. And Jack Benny continues to influence comedian's to this day, 47 years after his death.

This episode is always one of my personal favorites, Jack playing golf, in an on location, shot at his country club. Very funny, with Mel Blanc with squirrels ' voice"",!!!
