    Hey, You recieve 3 Breech lock bushings with the kit,they are removed with the die so you don't have to Unscrew every die,just push the black lock button,twist the breech lock insert and it comes out with the die all set up. I also purchased the LEE locking breech lock holders, Once set and locked they never come out of adjustment. $10.00 a pair,worth the extra money.

    Being a fresh beginner, I just bought this kit, I'm weary of the price, but reviews and even the local yokels at my sporting good stores say it works fine. Waiting for it to show up. Really stoked to start loading ammo!

    Priming is done during decapping. I have an Auto drum powder measure set on the powder through expander die, so it really makes the process faster.

    @be lue The grain of the bullet is different from the amount of powder (grain). For example, if he is loading 45 acp. He may use 3.6 grains of Bullseye powder to accurately deliver a 230 grain projectile down range.

    To elaborate a little a grain (gr) is simply another unit of measurement for weight like pounds (lbs) bullets are measured in grains but so is the powder charge. There are 7000 grains in a pound so it is a very small unit of measurement. Hope this helps a little.

    Do you clean the primer pocket every time? Although you didn't show it, I assume you do it. There's always some residue, many times very little of it. Is it necessary or advisable to clean it every time? I do it just in case, right after de-priming the brass. Thanks! Great videos, I watch them often, as I learn how to use my press.

  • @ElDub50

    Is there any reason you don't re-prime during the de-prime/resizing cycle? Prob doesn't matter, just curious. If you changed the powder feed to load through the flaring die, you would have to reprime during the sizing cycle.. Also, well worth buying extra die bushings. They're ~$10 for a 2 pack. With a bushing for each die you do the adjustments, lock it in and from then on you just have to drop in the next die and no readjustment is necessary.

  • @Tqtrpiypuu

    @Tqtrpiypuu

    You need to clean the primer pocket out before re-priming to insure the primer will seat fully. They make a tool to do this by hand, it's only a few dollars.

    Tqtrpiypuu just like his demo, cleaning primer pockets on handgun rounds is seldom necessary. If the previous primer was seated, not much chance of problems developing between depriming and repriming. Can't hurt of course, but just not a requirement.

    When you're depriming a case safer it's been fired, do you clean it out line or before you run it thru the depriming die.

    @Iraqveteran8888 Have your service provider come check the line for noise. If your drop line from their box to your house is bad you will get noise degrading your signal. If thats ok eliminate the splitters from your drop line to your modem. This will reduce your signal noise to a minimum and improve your connection. I spent 20 bucks at Home Depot and ran new Co-axial cable through the attic to bring in new fresh outdoor spec co-axial line. (outdoor spec line is beefier and holds up better. )

    @Iraqveteran8888 Handbrake from my own experiences works pretty well most of the time. What native format does your camera record too?

  • @makun16
    @makun1614 жыл бұрын

    @Iraqveteran8888 That is great that I has high quality output but it does no good if you are not able to upload that same quality all the time. I would try playing with the MPEG or AVI format if it will record in that format. It is must easier to manipulate because of there being so many programs out that will handle it. It sounds like the camera records in a proprietary format, making it difficult to find suitable apps to process it for upload.

    I have a RCBS press and I can't find an auto prime in stock anyplace are those antiques? I searched google and everyone is sold out. If I can't get an auto prime does that mean all of my equipment is useless? I have bought everything including casting equipment and I can't figure out how to prime my cases. All video and literature mentions this elusive "auto prime " thing. I saw a hand version at the gun show for $85.00 dollars but I thought that was a bit high but now I know.

    Love Lee reloading tools but this is the worst press Lee has ever put out for a right handed person. When running the press up with your right hand, you then have to take your right hand off the lever to actuate the safety prime feeder, and then put your right hand back on the lever and lower the ram. Horrible ergonomics. The safety prime should have been on the left side of the press where you operate the ram up and down with your right hand and feed cases, operate the primer feed mechanism and remove cases using your left hand. I hate this press for this reason.
