So glad he was able to deal with and overcome his on stage nerves, a brilliant comic. I have four of his later tour shows, Big, XL Live, Roadrunners and Monsters. His energy and physical humour and his delivery are just amazing. The audience loved him. The crowds he performed to were quite mind boggling in their size. Sad he's retired now, but he deserves his retirement and lots of happiness.

If you read his autobiography you will be very surprised at what it was it wasn't just his nerves it's a chapter in the book that you wouldn't expect it's a brilliant read but that one chapter wow about him and his girlfriend at the time before she became his wife

Tbh I think his earlier stuff when he was more nervous was a lot better. Really enjoyed the Her Majesty's and West End gigs. Scotland as well was a masterpiece.
Lee did this to me in Kendal but it was way more traumatic 😂 shouldn’t have worn white pants that night, big mistake going to the toilet with them on and then stumbling on the way to the exit next to the stage didn’t help either. Came back to a standing ovation and I had no clue what had been said so I went bright red. Met him after the show though, lovely fella.

30 odd yrs ago I started out as a musical director & remember working with Lee’s dad. If I remember correctly he played Clarinet, impressions, sang and told gags. A nice, decent guy to work with…Not all of them were!

Moss Side in Manchester really was like that at the time Lee did this gig. No outsiders dared go there. Seen Lee live many times & he's the funniest stand up ever, in my opinion.
That is just so funny. I wish I could go back in time and visit England and catch one of his tours!! I have the impression that Lee might be one of the best-loved comedians ever.

Saw him in Bristol. 20 minutes into his "so you want to be a comedian?" routine, he had barely said a word and everyone was in tears of laughter.
Love this man so funny 🤣
I remember seeing Lee at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks doing a pre tour gig... he came out with some papers with jokes written down and used us a guinea pigs. I remember laughing so hard I could barely breathe.... good times.
I love this interaction and live element side of Lee! I've never seen that before.
That's funny cos in my local theatre, if there are speakers in the 🚻 so you don't miss the show if you need to go lol, so he would be able to hear all this going on
Absolute legend!
Lee Evan's is quality Gold x
Legend he is ❤️

This took me back to the early 90’s ❤
Excellent!
Guys a legend .😭🥂👍🏼
Legend.
Lee Evans and Peter Kaye both took early retirement at the top of their game and are greatly missed.
Love this man we need him back on stage doing what he does best xxxxx
Without doubt one of the best comedians ever. Absolutely up there with the best of them. 🙏🙏🙏

That was really his thing - although I believe mostly genuine (when I saw him in 97 he had a part of his routine dedicated to talking about it). I think that might be part of the reason he gave up early- he lived on adrenaline and nerves; that’s bound to take its toll.

Please comeback lee
This has been edited. When the guy is in the toilet, Lee asked the lady who the guy is and Lee finds out he is on his own and goes Aw he's on his own??? Oh no, then sarcastically says ' just the one ticket please'.

Not funny at all . None of the 80s comedy was funny . Like only fools and horses and Blackadder. Terrible.
Works hard but he's just a parody of Norman Wisdom .
I've never liked this sweaty man.......his jokes are sporadic and weird. Give me Chubby Brown instead.
