lin dan was way more deceptive than momota and he actually had the capability to inject ridiculous pace whenever needed. momota never had that kind of burst even in his prime. momota played more like prime chen long.

This is the highest level match until now, sadly we can't see anymore

When I watched live I was like damn LCW did well but most likely momota fall under's LCW pressure. Now 5 years after , DAMN LCW used absolutly all his tricks and experience to beat Momota's prime. His reversed slice at the highest level against one of best defenders in the history ofbadminton , all his netshots on points. LCW wasn't slower in my book , it was way more WISED about what to do , instead of rushing of what a superstar would do.

No matter how good current players play, LCW and Lin Dan will still be the greats of the game.

Lin Dan performance massively suffered due to knee problems after 2013. He pushed himself very few times after 2013 World champs.

good footwork alone is not enough, good control alone is not enough, great stamina alone is not enough, neither is great power. ever since his prime to retirement, lcw made most of his matches look easy 😂 think TH had it all except for the stamina but its still not enough

Had LCW played Lin Dan in 2008 and 2012 Olympics in this manners, he would easily have whitewashed Lin Dan, without a doubt.

no chance. This match is way below the standard of the best matches between LD and LCW. Momota is nothing compared to a prime LD - he was peerless in all aspects, speed, power, stamina, accuracy, big game mentality etc

You have no ideas how bestminton have evolved throughout years and decades ?.
