He'd be even better if he could act. But at least they changed the moronic .22 in the first chapter to a 9mm. It's hard to take a writer seriously who knows less about handguns that the average five year old, and who is too lazy or too dumb to do five minutes of research on the subject. Fortunately for him, the world is full of equally stupid people who make perfect fans for bad acting and bad writing.

One thing that struck me is that Reacher can find clothes that fit in Thrift Stores and donation bins.

After years of reading “Reacher” stories in Lee Child’s books, finally an actor who can play this role well! Watched the series on Prime with relish, and I hope there will be more series to come as there are plenty to choose from. Please make more

Same as everyone else watched all in one day, loved it. Definitely need more, Ritchson is awesome as Reacher

Without Cruise’s adaptation, I would not have picked up the books. While his stature may not mate the written page, he succeeded in making me a Reacher fan.

Books are much better than Cruise's movies. I'm a Reacher fan since the very first book, more than 2 decades ago. Anyway not only the stature is wrong, Cruise's Reacher doesn't have the right wit, his quiet sarcasm, his subtle sense of humor and readiness.

Without a doubt TC is a much better actor than the new guy, but that goes without saying. I think the point is, do you enjoy the new series ? I'm still on the fence at the moment.

As much as I like watching Tom Cruise movies, seeing him in the part of Jack Reacher looked like a huge sell out, how can someone his size walk into a bar full of Special Services personnel and intimidate them, farcical to say the least. Alan Ritchson however fits the part perfectly.

If they do a movie every year to match Lee's books I'll never see them, I'm 73 now but will be dust in the wind. I enjoyed the 2 movies with Cruise but this last one was incredible. Alan is Reacher. Keep them coming and fast.

This! This is what/who Jack Reacher should be! Absolutely loved every minute of it! Brilliant casting, great acting and Lee Child's books are always an amazing story! Can't wait for season 2, 3, 4, 5....

Finally! Everything I wanted in an adaptation of a beloved character.

Nice interview. I was shocked when I found out years ago that Lee Child was a Brit. He writes what seems to me a quintessentially American character. It’s quite an achievement.

Lee child loves america, and been living in America quite sometime, or visit america many times, that’s probably why he created his story in America, I was shocked too when I found out he was Brit.

I binged it twice. I love the character and Alan Ritchson is perfectly cast. I wasn’t certain that someone with his stature would have the speed and agility but he executes without hesitation. His body is a weapon of mass destruction and a weapon of mass distraction 😍 I love how hell bent he is on making things right yet is full of compassion. The chemistry between Reacher and Roscoe was brilliant in how she was able to draw him out. He was okay showing his vulnerabilities with her. I will be tuning in for the rest of them …. Keep them coming!!!

As an author, Lee Child must be so happy that he was given the means and the talent to see this for himself. I've waited years and it was amazing. Can't wait to finish the season and all the seasons coming!

Hope they get around to filming Persuader. One of my favourites.

Yeah, if you're an idiot. Anyone with an IQ above room temperature would have stopped reading when Reacher's brother was shot in the back of the head with a suppressed .22, NOT a silencer, a Suppressor, and it blew his face off. You have to be dumber than a screen door on a submarine to write that, and even dumber to read past it.

I used to just picture LeeChilds's face as the Face of Jack Reacher... quietly adding a few pounds of course...lol As seeing several interviews where he bemoaned selling the rights to Hollywood and not having a say in the casting of Reacher... So now it a glorious day with the new series, which I hungrily binged in one sitting. Couldn't be happier and can't wait for the next season. 👍😉♥️

I love Mr. Child's characterization of the bass. It truly does hold the band together. I'd also love to see more seasons of Reacher, please! First season was so well done.

Thank God finally someone with very intelligent and entertaining content. Besides that he play the bass and got good music taste. Looking forward for the next season.

What percentage of Reacher season 1 was accurate to the The Killing Floor book?

A whole season is perfect because, in reality, these ‘action’ novels are actually 95% inaction then an explosive ending. That’s the beauty of it.

Lee Childe is hands down my favorite author in this genre. I love the show and hope it goes on at least 25 seasons. I just hope I live that long. The casting is great, I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for the endless hours of entertainment both reading and watching.

Great to see and hear the write whose books I have enjoyed since the first page. I watched the season - awestruck at the grip it held Give me a Reacher book and the house can burn down and I would not notice.

Ritchson was born to play Reacher. Straight out if central casting.

Watching the first movie, I thought to myself how much better this could be if it were adapted to a series. Like a dream come true.

I think this format is the better way to tell a story: one season, one book. Period. New season, new story. So sick and tired of waiting years for a story to come to an end-if they do not cancel the series before that.

Lee was born to write Reacher novels and Alan was born to play him .

enjoyed the series a lot. the only issue I had was reacher walk. he's not only ex military, he also literally walks all over America. Ritchsons gait is all off for a person who has been marching for most of his life. he needs to lengthen his stride and drive off the ball of his foot more.

Lee got it right on the reasoning mind of Reacher, he truly is like Sherlock Holmes. His mind works so fast, and he sees EVERYTHING. We agree that it was good to start the series with the first book, it's so good there is no reason to not do them all.

I enjoyed it. Binged it over two days. Well done.

I have not read the books, yet, but I REALLY enjoyed the Amazon Reacher series. It really stands out amongst much of the marginal content currently being produced. It is a great story, that is well told and well acted. It really comes through that people cared about producing a great show. The cast were awesome and I found their performances really engaging. I am really looking forward to the next season.

Just watched first series, fantastic just like the book, and Reacher is what he should be, Big, nasty, and one tough bastard. There has got to be more series, 🙏

I wonder how much the book sales have spiked after this series? When I first heard about this going to be made I was so happy, then I forgot about it. Then one day I noticed it had been released and I was overjoyed!

I hadn't read a book from cover to cover since i was 11 thanks to a Yorkshire education system . I took some time out in the middle of no where and a book was on the shelf. I was totally captivated. Watched the two Tom Cruise films and nope OKish but it wasn't him. I have started to watch the Amazon series and i can honestly say that the series is how it should have been done. It shows the details of the character. I can happily say what i have watched so far has exceeded expectations. The series tick every box and Reacher's face says what the character is thinking. Good look with the next 25 series lol

I've always believed that why novels turned into movies were unsatisfying was the time allowed to show it. This format of using an entire season is much better. This goes for just about all novels.

I am six feet tall, and not too ugly. My older brother, however, is six foot four, massively developed, and incredibly handsome. When I would bring my girl friends from college to see him - he was an archeologist who also trained military in the jungle - the girls I hoped would fall in love with me would look at my older brother, than at me, and say, with disdain, "What happened to you...." "Six feet tall" suddenly felt really really small. While watching this show, which I really enjoyed, I often felt like I was looking at my brother. If I have one complaint, it's that this actor is maybe 'too pretty'. Like Megan Fox, when she steps out from a fight with the Transformers without one bit of her make-up smeared, as much as I liked this actor, and I really did, he was a little too perfect. Just like my older brother. Can you tell I have issues?

Bang on brothers. Loved it - can't wait for more. Perfect in almost every way. Ritchson is PERFECT. Binged entire season on the first night. Of course - Killing Floor is Howlin Wolf.

I really liked the series and I like Alan Ritchson as Reacher. It was a marathon leaving me wanting more. Reacher doesn't disappoint and I love the relationship between him and Roscoe. It's the usual kick-butt and take no names action that I Iove. Can't wait for Season 2!

Well, you couldn't have done Reacher or the Killing Floor any better. Saw it on Prime and thought 'give it a miss'! Took one look at Alan and thought 'ok! Let's give it a go'! 8 hours later, 3am on a Monday morning and thought 'You smashed it'! Absolutely brilliant! I hope that we do get another 24 series. Killing Floor is one of my favourites.

ITS REALLY HARD TO CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT FOR THIS VERSION OF REACHER...THAT I PUT IT ALL IN CAPS!

Loved the series (and all the books), but cannot believe the interviewer never thought of the relationship in the thought processes between Holmes and Reacher.

I think Alan Ritchson is an excellent Reacher, and matches my view on size/bulk, but I must confess while reading all of the books I never once thought of Reacher as a six pack abs world class body builder.

Looking forward to season two
