@@bb5236 I used phone prying tools, the picks. If you play guitar, you can use guitar picks also. Or may some old debit/credit cards if they're thin enough, if too thick then maybe file them down with a sandpaper to thin it out.

The buttons break really easy, that's the main issue I found with reseating when I tried fixing my spare one

My only concern of changing the screen is that can someone hack our phrase if we change our screen. Like they put any technology in screen to hack our key phrase.

@@fikretdeniz9031 You can order one from Aliexpress. Just search for "Display Module for Ledger Nano S" but you need to select if 12pin or 15pin so you have to check yours which one you have to ensure compatibility.

How do you order a new screen??

The 12 pin that I ordered is still too big, and cannot fit. What is the next smaller size? 9 pin or 6 pin?

You might not just aligning it right. If the ribbon cable pins are the same as the old one then it's just aligning issue when putting it back together. I suggest you try again but do not force it too hard or it will crack/bent/damage. If it's indeed too big then you might have bought the wrong lcd screen for your device. I suggest to show your device and screen with it's ribbon cable to the seller before buying again. So they can tell you which is the right one for you.

I tried this method. It works, but I have one that won’t show power. Does the usb need to be repaired?

Most likely the issue is on the board components if it still doesn't power on. Have someone trusted to look at the board if can be repaired. Goodluck

Was your device able to be detected in Windows before replacing the screen? Mine is still under warranty but just found they don't deliver to the Philippines.

No, not detected at all. I thought it was totally dead. It was a gamble replacing the screen and in the end it worked after I replaced the screen.

If it doesn't disconnect from your computer while the display is dying out then might just be your display.

You can also check Amazon if there's one in your location or other local ecommerce sites on your country. Sometimes it's better to buy locally if any resellers. Goodluck!

Technically yeah but that's too subjective imo. User negligence can be a factor also which often the case gets hacked or you already bought a hacked device. So that's for you to decide... Good luck.
