These geniuses were only together about 2 months when this album was recorded. Their first rehearsal together was on August 19, 1968, the day before Plants 20th birthday. They toured a short while to finish Yardbirds gigs, since Page was the last remaining Yardbird. They recorded this album in October, over 4 days & start to finish total of about 35 hours. Page & Petter Grant their manager funded it, & Page produced mixed & edited it. The whole album is an absolutely amazing debut album, ever song is great.

Side 2- Your Time is Gonna Come seamlessly transitioned into the acoustic Black Water Side which immediately goes into Communication Breakdown--I can't unhear it all together. BTW. JPJ on the organ was orgasmic on this one.
