They don’t make music like they used to !! The “classic” years were the best. What’s funny, is my kids will be singing a “classic” & I’ll start singing with them, they’ll look at me with this crazy look & say, “how you know the words to that song?” 😂😅🤣😂😂. Then ya got to start explaining….

As time goes on and I watch Plant in interviews, I've really grown to admire his intelligence and depth. He's far from a typical maniac drugged up drunken rock star...even when he did live that lifestyle, you watch the old interviews, he still displayed depth and intellect.

Robert is living proof that a close family loss stays close to the surface as you get on in years. It makes you all the more human... and Robert seems to be a gentle soul trying to examine and experience all that life can offer... it is reflected in his music.

To think I was 75ft away from him and Jimmy when I sat 6th row from the stage at Chicago stadium in 1977, I feel like I know him. Watching him in this interview especially brings back those memories of the greatest concert I've ever been to. Led Zeppelin was such a huge influence on me. They were the number one influence on me. Hearing whole Lotta love for the first time when my brother played it for me just blew me away. Seeing song remains the same at the movie theater before I saw them live in Chicago just blew everybody away. Nobody could deny they were untouchable.

I used to live a few miles from Rob and knew people who drank with him at the local. They're fond of him and he's just a fella who likes a beer and a chinwag. I can understand now why he still lives locally, he's a family man, connected to his roots and understands that for the most part he's just an ordinary fella. I've admired him from afar for those exact reasons. He sang at the King & Castle in 2007 with a zep tribute band and I lived just behind the pub......I was gutted I'd missed it.

I hear what Robert says, it resonates with me too. I love the way Robert deals with life, how he's followed his purpose, his destiny, his spirituality (the music). I'm part Welsh - I love the Welsh borders, mid and north Wales too. I've friends in the Midlands and I studied there, it's my second home. Yet my maternal Celtic Welsh ancestors came from Celts in France, so it's never just one thing or another being "British" or from Albion. On my paternal side, my ancestors ruled from Glastonbury to Rutland, Tolkien's "Dunadain", claimed descendancy from that saviour of humanity Thor, yet also brought the full bible from Egypt via Ireland, built the first Bath Abbey (and installed an ancestor sister Princess as first Abbess - Cathar style) and the first Gloucester cathedral, who, were loved by their people, melding 'pagan' with Christianity (from the holy lands - not Rome) and got on with the Welsh, sadly, the unholy Roman Empire decided to destroy all of that. Whilst I'm not a fan of the system of things here, in the UK (mainly based on Roman Empiric practices) the modern ways etc are not for me, the spiritual pull, the geophysical energy and pull of home is very strong. Sadly the lands of which I speak have seen the locals driven out (my ancestors will be turning in their tombs and burial mounds) by usurper kings and their sycophantic hangers on and their hangers on ad infinitum. That does sometimes make one want to leave, but the beauty and resonance of the place keeps one here, keeps calling. You can hear it in Zeppelin's work and in RPs work, I guess that's why I'm a fan too✌️👍💜

A friend of mine owns a spiritual bookstore in Cambridge Massachusetts. In the mid 2000's, he had just unlocked the door to open up and went about doing his work. About a half hour later, this guy with long hair comes in and was looking at the various array of crystals and stones. He said to himself, "That looks like Robert Plant." Well, it was. They chatted a bit and he went on his way. Real nice guy. I think he was on tour with Allison Krauss during that period.

I think that one of the reasons why Robert left Austin which he didn't mention is the attention he would get from a lot the young college kids and residents. I'm seem to remember him saying once at times he didn't feel he could go anywhere there which if true would make sense when your older. Zepp had such a huge impact on American culture it makes sense.

How refreshing it is to be a fan of the Musician then see an interview and have respect for the Man.

Such a wonderful voice Robert has and Stairway shows his range, perfectly. Being a father of two boys, with whom I have no contact, I feel his pain.
