Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

Totally agree! As a bass player in a 3-piece, I love when the guitar player feels the groove like Page did at the beginning of the solo, before he goes off and does his thing. Loved your comment só to the point 👍☺️🙏❤️🌈 the quality of this video is amazing and it shows the reactions of JPJ to JP solo: at one point trying to make sense of the direction he’s taking and eventually smiling of rejoice on he’s pulling it back, so amazing what a band! Some good musicians have argued that Page’s improvising style is unique in a sense that he is more like a riff-maker, I see him pulling ideas from jazz (especially free jazz but a lot from John MacLaughlin Mahavishnu Orchestra) to draw his way through the harmony building loads of rhythmic patterns on the way (masterfully followed by Bonzo while JPJ holds the groove), to me his great solos aren’t like any other soloist (either jazz or rock) because he can rewrite the song and bring the whole band and the public with him. I just love it to bits ❤

Led zeppelin means everything
A moment to thank whoever it was in 1973 that had the wherewithal to arrange such a pristine recording of this masterful performance such that generation after generation can experience it in all its Led Zep glory. Such incredible production values for the time. I know its been remastered but obviously from an amazing original.
My eyes and ears were blown away! Nothing in the world like Led Zeppelin
The respect between the band members is salient! When Page wants to do his thing the rest of the band steps down and pays homage!
jimmys tone here is phenomenal
Flawless guitar by Jimmy Page... so creative!!
49 years and 2 months ago I was there.
Page’s tone just grabs your soul and twists it
This is one band worth listening to on vinyl....using an old school amp.

Tube music performance amplifiers can not later be digitally or analog reproduced using transistor set-ups. Tubes from start to finish delivers the real sound.
This is quite possibly the best guitar solo of all time Funnily enough i'm practicing trying to learn it right now as the video dropped!

It is awesome!
This was my band when I was in High School, 1969-1973 !!! And the decades that followed.
Our generation is going to have one thing no other will ever have anything remotely close to: Led Zeppelin Nite at the Nursing Home. Hell, yeah. *holds up Bic lighter*
This is one band I regret missing live. I grew up in that era😢

My first concert - had no idea when I was going that it would also be my best ever!
The greatest band ever ❤
Look at the thumbnail, ugh.. words can't describe how sexy and charismatic Jimmy was in his younger days. Also, his solo here are on my top 10 list of my favorite Jimmy's guitar solo❤

Yes, Jimmy jumped around with his guitar around his neck and writhed on stage and, in addition to being a phenomenal guitarist, he was beautiful and incredibly sexy.
Just had my great Grandma pass away on her birthday, she would've been 95 if she kept going strong. Thanks Page, Plant, Bonham, and Jones for the amazing song. I'll miss you Rosemary.
Those fills by Bonzo are ridiculous

And backing vocals for the la-la-la's. With a roadie holding the mic stand. As he wouldn't have it there while playing!
Led Zeppelin at their best!!! I love the ‘73 Madison Square Gardens shows. Absolutely brilliant

The Europe part of the ‘73 Tour was better. Listen to the bootlegs. To be fair, the MSG performance was outstanding.

Right there with you. I love listening and watching Jimmy Page play live!
Wow what a guitar player.
best sound, best cinematography, best band
Put 4 geniuses on stage free to have fun and you will change the world of music. At that time, absolute skill existed.
Man that intro is just the MASTER version.....
They were so free to be brilliant. They weren't trying to be perfect because they had the freedom to explore their own music and of course that made it amazing
I have to keep commenting on their music because every song gives me a thrill. Just the right people at just the right time with the mastery to do this. What a beautiful coming together of artistry. Best Rock band in history.
Led Zeppelin threw down the gauntlet. No other Music entity can touch this iconic legendary Rock Group. Led Zeppelin is in a class all by itself with Record Album sales of 350 Million and rising. Robert Plant is the best front man ever. Jimmy Page is the best guitarist ever. John Bonham is the best drummer ever. Led Zeppelin was more than a band. They were a happening. Led Zeppelin brought a one of a kind mystique and swagger to the Rock music world. ❤
4:04..that fill and then the riff. Man I wish that was on the radio single. So great.

Led Mighty Zep , a band that WILL be remembered for a LONG time 💪🎸!!!!
I don’t know why they didn’t include this on the song remains the same live album, as this was part of those shows. One of their best songs.
