I consider this to possibly the best studio recording of all time for any rock n roll album. I hear: great vocals, great drum play, great guitar work, great bass, great organ, strings galore, possibly a synthesizer, and who know what else? They didn't waste any of this recording tape for this recording session. I can't do any justice to a music structure on this song, but the time signatures in it are brilliant!

There are other live versions with Jimmy Page, too. Also, you have to see the 2007 Celebration concerts when Zepp performed for th3e last time and they rip this song up when they were around 60. A great exclamation point to an amazing band.

Been waiting for weeks to see you guys react to this one. You didn't disappoint. I don't know if you can fully appreciate how fantastic it is to see well informed people from a different generation experience this for the first time. The album was released on my birthday and I was in hospital. My mother bought it and brought it to me in my hospital bed. I had to sit there and look at the record jacket for a week before I could get out and put it on a turntable. I just sat there with my mouth open for an hour and a half. Remember this was 1975. It was both evolutionary and revolutionary. It still amazes me today and even more amazing to see it having the same impact on you guys nearly 50 years later. Bravo.

Now that you've hit this song you absolutely need to do the live version from celebration day with Jason Bonham ( Bonso's son) on drums. These dudes were in there late 60's and crushed this song, you get to see JPJ in all his glory making all these sounds live.

Plant is very much an improvisational type of singer. Every time he sings a song it's different from the last time. I've seen him multiple times over the last 50 years and every time rhe songs are performed differently. You have been going through the studio albums, and by the way, you need to continue to the end or you are going to miss some absolute classics of rock history. You also need to start doing some live versions, particularly at Knebworth, MSG and O2 Arena. Studo versions are one thing but you are entering another level when you take in some of these live performances.

You really should watch the live Celebration Day Concert and performance of this masterpiece! It is truly amazing..they are much older and it is their last performance together. The drummer is Jason Bonham, the original drummer John Bonham's son and he gives a killer performance!! These guys definitely prove that age is just a number! It blows me away every time I watch it!

"A real gangster record..." - can't say I've ever heard it described that way, but you're spot on!! Zeppelin went all-in, hard, trippy, groovin' with this album - so many styles, but they all compliment each other so well. A true masterpiece!! And as a long time listener, follower, lover of John Paul Jones - again, spot on - if you can't describe what it is, chances are, it's JPJ!! No truer words be spoken. The dynamic between JPJ & Bonham is immeasurable - definitely ranks in my top 5 rhythm sections of all time (along with Geddy Lee/Neil Peart, John Deacon/Roger Taylor...to name a couple) Great reaction to a stellar track!

Now you know why we couldn’t wait for you guys to react to this gem. Easily one of their greatest songs. Bonzo was steady as a rock, JPJ playing everything, Page was grooving out and Plant was at his finest, improvising throughout the entire track. This is a greasy track. Feeling it the way we all felt it first time. Just jaw dropping. Everything you said. JPP = Orchestra. Bonzo is the groove. Plant singing every note. What isn't up front, but very much part of the song is the 12 string guitar playing with strings on the 2nd section. Page killin' it in the backround. Love you guys for what you do. Thank you.

Guys you killed it! Your reaction at 4:16 in, was hilarious! You both caught the Bonham single bass triplet. (which every other reactioner always misses) Like Levee, JB drives this track with the phased drum rolls and cymbal work at the end. It’s no wonder Zeppelin endures. Great stuff. 🤘😎

Bonhams "fills" are simply Legendary but also his tactical pauses have been analyzed and thought insanely talented as well! Bonham hits a pocket and stays until he feels a fill needs to be added. These slight personal touches of what and more of "how" he does these fills take carrying the beat to leading at times and Bonzo was able to do so only because of the incredible ability of JPJ and Page to adjust on the fly and fall in line. What you basically are experiencing is Rock on the highest musicianship level there possibly is. The layered engineering of this track is mind blowing. Watch this performance LIVE! It is a MUST listen/watch!! Enjoy~

Hey Fellas. Another great Zeppelin song! They really covered a wide variety of musical styles. You never knew quite what you were going to get when you listened to a Led Zeppelin song. You should really check out the live version of this one from the Celebration Day concert at the 02 Arena in London, which I believe was 2006? It had Robert, Jimmy, and JPJ joined by Jason Bonham (John's son) on drums. It really was done beautifully in this performance, it's truly worth a listen. Enjoyed your reaction, as always. Peace.

I saw Zep the tour before this album was released. 6th row center. Probably under 15 bucks. Tried to get tix for this tour. Spent the night sleeping on cold concrete- 20 degrees with 20 mph winds. Woke up to a crowd that threw away our stuff we put at the front of the line to hold our spot. That’s what security told us to do. Only sold tickets at one place, and it was so jam packed that once you had your ticket. You had to be lifted over the crowd and body surf to get out.
