Whoever recommended the last couple of Zeppelin songs sure picked some of their heavier songs. Your face tells us everything! I really enjoy your reactions. If you might like something softer, try Going to California, or The Rain Song. They have some good blues songs like Nobody’s Fault but Mine, Since I’ve Been Loving You, or You Shook Me. Some of my favorites, The Ocean, The Wanton Song, The Rover, Ten Years Gone, For Your Life are more rock. Keep up the fun reactions!

Led Zep was born out of the ashes of The Yardbirds (a super classic 60's band). The Yardbirds had three legendary guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page (Page is the Led Zep guitarist) The First version of this song was done by The Yardbirds (with their own great singer and with Page playing guitar). It is worth checking out. Jimmy Page was left with the rights and responsibilities to The Yardbirds name when the band broke up. Jimmy assembled a new group of musicians and they called themselves The New Yardbirds. Once the old groups remaining contractual obligations were completed, they officially changed their name to Led Zeppelin. The history of The Yardbirds/Led Zep encompasses a major portion of the history of British Rock, and they produced many of Britains finest tunes. Enjoy the journey.

Welcome JAYY, to our white 1960 Chevrolet Station Wagon with cheater slicks and an 8 track cassette player. The year was 1969 summer of and we only had one cassette, or the only one I recall was " Led Zeppelin ". We would drive around all night listening. That car's tape deck was the best audio - listening to - that any of us had. The thing I like about " Dazed and Confused " was the silence, the headroom, how well that it was recorded. The years of Jimmy Paige being a studio session musician paid large dividends. That reminds me " Led Zeppelin = lighter than air but heavy metal ". d:)

When listening to anything by Led Zeppelin for the first time, I always recommend listening to the original studio version only and not looking at any video. That's how it came to us originally on the radio and with all Rock and Roll, it's really about the music more than anything else. Most of what Zeppelin did was pre-MTV anyway.
