My fav song 20 years old

I am Russian, was born in the Soviet Union and I'm 53 years. The first time I heard Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple in 1974, and I was just shocked that you can play like that. At that time their music was officially banned, but we found these amazing songs where anyone could and repeatedly copied from each other on an old reel tape recorders. A lot has changed in our country, there are many good Russian rock groups, but a fantastic Staiway to Heaven still shakes me to the depths of the soul.

Same. I've been listening to Zep since December 2023 (what a shame) and have fallen for them, especially for Jimmy. I love their music and Jimmy's spectacular guitar playing. Their creativity is just stunning. I wish, I had seen them live.

The classic song of all genres. Starts off as a gentle ballad, and ends in a crescendo of rock and roll! Such an amazing bunch of talented musicians, all four. I was 9 when I first heard this song in 1969, the first album I bought was Led Zeppelin 4. Bought my kids up on Led Zep and the Beatles!

Just unbelievably good. Can`t stop loving this classic Zeppelin anthem. I am 68 and it makes me feel 15 again, which is how old I was, when I fell in love with it. Thank you Led Zeppelin.

In the end it all comes down to this. The Greatest Song Of All Time! No matter how Percy protests, this above all else is their legacy. Everyone came expecting to hear Stairway. The song that inspired guitarists all over the world to play. The song that takes every heart to a special place. The song we all know from the first note / chord! The music to our lives!

I keep on repeating the LED ZEPPELIN Video performance on this heavenly song with teary eyes, this band is indeed for me the BEST ROCK BAND EVER! 👍❤️

Wow so great! such power from his voice, what a special time my friends and I had riding home in Sharons VW, just amazed about this concert!! It was a ride! Still love to here them....oh yea by the way, I am old girl now, was 24 at the time..

Amazing performance..... saw their show in '77 as a young pup..... this song was a religious experience ! ;) . This rendition from two ol' mates here, incredible performance in tandem and playing off each other ( along w/ young Bonham ? and John Paul ) Awesome! going to have to light one up and pour a drink to soak in the memories.... cheers ! !

this is fine composing. music, suite, words, epic and unique guitar solo (that you cannot change even a single note, it is classical music), thats anthem of rock perfection. high level rock I mean.

I had the chance to see this concert in person but couldn't get myself to pay the price of tickets (it was a fundraising event). I worked only a few miles away from the O2 at the time. The cheapest tickets I could find were about $15,000 USD with most going $40K for a pair of tickets. These were face value tickets of $300-500 each going for $15K-20K each. And they sold in minutes when placed at the resale booth near the O2. There were lines of people waiting to buy them in expensive cars. No way I was going to get in on that :( Page is to this day the reason I picked up a guitar 40 years ago!
