LED Light FIX GONE WRONG! What I Learned 💡 | Fabrication One Offs Philippines | Ep. 02 | TORINO
Welcome back to the garage! In this video, I tackle a tricky repair on a malfunctioning LED high bay light, and let's just say it didn't go as planned. If you're into DIY projects, repairs, and everything in between, you're in for a treat. I delve into the world of high wattage LED lights and the battle against heat - the ultimate nemesis of these fixtures.
Join me as I troubleshoot, disassemble, and experiment with replacing a 150-watt circular LED with a 100-watt COB LED chip, all while trying to improve heat dissipation using Arctic Silver thermal compound. Despite my best efforts, I faced unexpected challenges, including a faulty LED driver filled with silicone.
Watch as I test new cooling strategies, including stripping paint off the heat sink for better thermal contact and drilling exhaust holes to manage the heat build-up. Will these fixes finally bring my LED high bay light back to life, or is it time to call it quits and buy a new one?
