Those bulbs do seem to put out a lot of light but i agree with you that the color temperature greatly affects their usability. The convenient screw in base also seems a great convenience. I'm building a shop with 10 ft. ceilings so something like this could be a solution. Thanks for another useful video.
You’re correct about one year service. It’s a quick and easy fix but does not last long.
I've seen several people test the lumens on many of these bulbs and lots of companies are lying about their output, just something to keep in mind. That said, I bought a 5 blade bulb from one of the dishonest companies inflating lumen numbers but it's still very very bright so I'm not disappointed, these bulbs were a wonderful invention.
Thanks for sharing that information!
My experience, especially in a cold garage, is a year or so.
That was good to know! Thanks Tom and take care!
It hadn't occurred to me that LED lighting might have a shorter than expected lifespan. Thanks Tom for making me aware of this.

I have had "regular" style LED bulbs go out on me after a year or two and wondered, "I thought these were supposed to last for 10 years". Same old story, nothing is made to last any more.
Would make a good grow light.
I do like those bulbs. But with a high garage ceiling, i am still patiently waiting for one of those bulb changing poles with a basket that would fit one of these types of bulbs. Without it, i simply cannot reach it. I dont have any friends with super tall ladders and its a bit pricey to rent a tall ladder just to change a bulb (though this is likely my only option).

I think it might actually be 180W, not 180W equivalent.
