I just wanna know how to connect the wires. Why the people always skip that part?
I just found your channel as I want to do exactly what you showed...thx. I've never done this but you give me confidence...I'll tell you how it went. An electrician wanted about $50 for each fixture to replace...I have 7 of them.

Tinker Forward well, I did three fluorescent lights converted to LED and this same kind of light you did here for my hallway and closet. Thank you for giving me confidence. Btw... I didn’t do the step of wrapping the caps electrical tape...is that a big deal?

thanks so much. gonna look at this at lowes tomorrow. I want to replace all the old 1 light bulb flushmount light fixtures in the house coz they look so ugly with something more updated like the one in this video. I'm leaning towards getting LED.

Looks similar to my plastic diffuser dome, but I can't get the dang thing apart to install. Directions say to twist counterclockwise, no tools needed. Looking around the edge, I can see the three slots & the notches, but can only twist it about 1/10th of the way.
What about the foil insulation ring? Is it needed? Mine tore up trying to get it installed.
Whats the name of the bracket you used?
How do you replace the light bulb?

does this light stay somewhat illuminated when off? I have installed mine does. I kind of like it because it acts like a night light but concerned that I have a grounding problem.

I installed one with the same issue, trying to figure out what the problem is
Is that LED plate replaceable if it fails? I had one similar and basically had to toss the entire fixture when it burned out after 5 years.

As far as I can tell you'd have to replace the entire fixture. I've installed several of these same fixtures around the house over the last few years and I haven't experienced any problems. I'll update if I do.
how do you remove the glass dome, you didn't show this.

Hi Jack, thanks for watching. Sorry about not showing that. The glass dome has 2 grooves that fit into a slide track on the bottom of the light. Then you twist the glass to seed into the fixture track.

Ron I am in the same boat. I'm ready to break the dome to get the light off, but there has to be a trick to it.

Mark Mingrone Yeah, I’m done with it. I was just curious, but when I need to take it off I’m holding a garbage can underneath it while breaking the glass with a hammer. No big deal. Not worth the frustration trying to figure it out. lol, too funny! :)
How'd the dome get on there? That's literally all I was here for 🤦♂️
Is it safe just to power off the light switch?

Me too. Trying to take the same model down and cannot seem to get the dome off. Assuming it has a 1/4 turn, but not budging for me! Argh!!!

Yeah, it's just a 1/4 turn. Got it off by holding base firmly and twisting with a little force.

Instead of killing the power from the circuit box can u jus turn off the light switch?

No because you still have a source of power running from either the panel box or a continuous run.
US wiring looks so dodgy
