Hi why did you choose sqrt transformation for .5 lambda ? what is the logic to choose sqrt transformation?

Well if you try it with your pocket calculator you will find that e.g. the square root of 4 is exactly the same thing as taking 4 to the power of 0.5. The optimal lambda value you get from Box-Cox is used on your y-value to the power...he just used the sqrt here, could have gone for y^0,5 aswell.

HI, Can we use box-cox method even when some values in data are missing?
