Wow! Subtitles in Spanish? That’s cool. You know, very few KZreadrs have subtitles in 2 languages, seriously, that’s awesome, keep up the great work!

This is such a good idea. I'm a deaf person who works for disability services at a uni and one question we had recently was the poor quality of Glean transcription for some of our Neurodivergent students. Glean is a bit like CaptionEd but more focused on recording-management than transcription which is Caption.Ed's focus - they're sort of competitor products tho. The idea of a cheap lanyard style mic is a good idea. I don't know if DSA would fund it (they're very fussy about equipment and will change totally in Feb 2024) but this video is still something I'll share with colleagues and their students as it's a genius idea.

Thanks Nelle. That is really very helpful and informative and I can certainly think of uses for it - and will share you video link with others that it could help. If you do and for people who use Zoom for lectures and other stuff - there is an option to switch on captions so it instantly converts speech to text in English and other languages. It has to be set up buy the person hosting the meeting - so eg the person or body giving the lecture. I discovered it when using the Oxford Mindfulness Centre - daily meditation links see below - it works very well. I am almost ready to get my CI implant - should be in next 2-3 weeks. Stuff you shared about adapting H Aid and CI device with Roger is excellent and I will be doing that. You are a fantastic person - for sharing - and inspiring all of us to go and look for the options and help that is available - and with AI progress that can only get better. Namaste. PS can you share the amazon link for the stuff you showed on your video. www.oxfordmindfulness.org/free-online-mindfulness-course-sessions/#:~:text=The%20OMF%20offer%20daily%20practice%20sessions%20for%20those,evening%20session%20will%20usually%20feature%20a%20keynote%20speaker.

If you just type 'wireless lavelier microphone' into Amazon there are multiple products like it. Mine is completely generic and doesn't have a brand name so I doubt it's anything special. That mindfulness course looks interesting and I'll definitely check it out.
