He needs to drive more with his brain and be more confident on his thoughts to adjust the race strategy, and to have someone who listens to him, about the strategy part, if the Ferrari strategists are still lagging. On the driving part, being faster, with saving tyres more, is tricky, but maybe he can do so, who knows?

Charles needs to grow skills

Certainly not his fault for the terrible inters switch at Silverstone, but were Hamilton already driving for Ferrari and told to come in, he’d have said “no” and overridden the team’s call. Charles puts far too much faith in the Ferrari pit wall, regardless of how he’s feeling on track.

His lap times right before that call are nothing to write home about. Charles is getting more out of the car right now as I think the balance really suits his rear planted driving style. How come though it is always Charles, he had to make that call not the team. He needs to develop his race craft.

I remember when my friends told me "Hamilton is driving for us next year", to which I immediately replied "whose place is he taking?". My delusional Charles fan friend answered me "Sainz, of course", which was quickly followed by me saying "big mistake!". I still stand by that opinion especially since Carlos actually gives useful feedback to the mechanics so the car stands a chance to improve. Well, the original conversation was in Italian but that was a close enough translation I guess.

For me, Charles OS agood driver. But he is lacking on one thing, which is reading the situation. Quite a few times he is lacking on this area. And Xarlos, is much better on this. Not just at Silverstone, Monaco a few years ago, Singapore, and a few times where Carlos proved that he has better judgements on reviewing situation. Am not saying that Carlos is faster, because I know Charles is a bit faster than Carlos, but Carlos has better judgement. I understand that Maranello has put decision on Carlos, however I got a feeling that Carlos and Lewis is a better team mate for Ferrari as Carlos is more consistent driver

I’m ready to get jumped by the Lemerd fans for saying this but… a racer that is constantly angry when his team passes him - to the point he blames him for not getting a delusional podium… is not a racer, but merely a brat. Nobody is immune to being passed in racing. Say what you want - that sainz “puts leclerc and the team at risk”, but it is racing, and everyone wants to win. Especially when a driver has wrongfully lost everything he’s worked hard for. And to think Sainz was the right pilot to be replaced is naive. Sure, Charles CAN be quick, but he’s got the brain of a chicken. Regardless, the problem at Ferrari is not the drivers, but rather the car. And if you want to develop a good car, you keep Sainz with Hamilton, who actually give good feedback, instead of being a crybaby after every race. This goes to show that SF is a business and not a racing team. Marketing and profits over quality.

If it were alpine kick sauber Haas or even Williams it would be understandable, but from ferrari? No way. 😮😮

Can't help but think Lewis is not going to be happy next year at Ferrari and wish he would've stuck it out with Mercedes 😆 but Charles needs to be a better driver. You're in the seat. Leclerc is not a pure racer. He lacks the killer instinct and he keeps making judgement errors at the most crucial times. The team is also massively at fault for having a car that gets worse mid season. The aero tunnel work is woeful and they’re reduced to using Grand Prix weekends to see how the car performs because they keep finding little to no correlation between wind tunnel and race conditions. It’s amateurish and the problem has beset them for years no and still they’re not after Adrian Newey. Joke just like the Italian national team.

If Toto is able to woo Max over to Mercedes, do you think Red Bull might try to grab Charles provided he can get out of his contract?

I think Carlos is lucky to be getting replaced with Token. Ferrari will be as they have been. Carlos is going to get a better drive.

⁠@@greenfj1466Talent vs. consistency. Charles is the faster driver, but Carlos seems to be more adaptable and confident. More often than not he puts in a solid drive. If the car issues plaguing Ferrari continue, Carlos will likely beat Charles on points by season’s end.

You do know people only pay attention to Carlos when Charles is not in the mix? This means ignoring everytime Charles ends up ahead of Carlos and only looking at the rare times Carlos beats Charles
