Before that was Canaan. The first Ashkenazi Jewish family showed up in the 1740s, in late 1800s ottomans did a census of 25k (like half or a little more was original hebrew blood at that time) ... Since then they have swarmed into the land and the originals basically got shafted (the other originals left before then at different increments for surrounding areas (like Yemen other arab countries Asia\Europe\Africa) and because of some of the teachings in the talmud took many mixed marriages and converts (with equations on how many generations it would take for descendants of those to become true Jewish blood).
