@@palguyx463 But look at the countries who have good relations with Israel: Morocco, Jordan, Turkey and the UAE and compare it to countries like Algeria, Syria or Iran. Every country has it's interests in Lebanon but the difference is that Iran and Syria destroyed the Lebanese State. When Lebanon took it's independence from France and was under US influence it wasn't a third world country, it was like the UAE nowadays and people were educated. Ok many people were poor, like the Palestinians and the Shias, but the country was good. Now everybody is poor and corrupted, unfortunately

Desperate people do desperate things. I don't blame them 😔. When people are hungry and have no money they have only 3 choice, beg, borrow or steal 😔

Isn't this what the Shia and Palestinians wanted? A country free from Christian rule? Now Hezbollah is in charge and the country is dirt poor. Just divide the country. Everything south of Beirut is Hezbollah land and the Christians will have Beirut. I guarantee in a few years Christian Lebanon will be rich and prosperous.

We are fed up of high inflation in our country Pakistan, which shotup from 12 percent to 34 percent in one year. But after watching this , I have stopped complaining, we still have food to eat, electricity around the clock. Just reducing consumption is how we are managing.

People in the comments rejoicing at the crisis our brothers and sisters have to endure in Lebanon should not be called people. If you lack humanity to feel empathy for your fellow humans, maybe because you think you're better than them, or pray to the right god so this kind of thing will never happen to you, or your country is to big to fail, then that's proof of a self deceiving naiveté. If you're so cynical and messed up that the pain inflicted on other people makes you feel joyful, then you're probably sad and alone. Either way, if you feel lucky mocking our failed states from the safety and comfort of your first World State then I should let you know that maybe in your time or in your children time, this kind of thing will happen to you too! like it used to be until the world wars ended, none of us is above calamities none of us is above poverty, none of us is too big to fail, it just takes longer to fail when you're bigger, and the bigger you are the harder you fall.

My Father lived during the 50’s, 60’s & middle 70’s. He worked in the military police and even when in that scenario he would keep a semi-auto pistol under his belt. So this is during the Paris of Middle East.

The city of Tripoli is not only down to this financial crisis. The Hariri family built a huge souk in Beirut whilst running down the major Sunni areas, like Sidon and Tripoli. The latter had a small civil war going on for a decade, after Syria withdrew in 2005.
