Leaving our Home Marina FOREVER | Let Boat Life Begin

The day is finally here.... after 8 months of quarantine, deliberation, buying our boat, boat projects, and our maiden voyage - we are finally leaving our home marina in San Mateo, Florida. We couldn't have done it without the love and support of our family and we hope you get a glimpse into that with this video.
Thanks for watching,
Jennifer and Elliot

ABOUT US
Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel around the world. Together we decided to create vlogs for our journey as a fun way to remember it. On September 15, 2019, we left Atlanta with 3 bags, 2 one-way tickets, and 1 goal of traveling for a whole year. Little did we know, 6 months later we would find ourselves in a nationwide lockdown in India. After spending 5 months in India, we came back to the United States and decided to purchase a 34’ Trawler, dive head first into boat life, and kick off America’s Great Loop.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.” Just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem.
Thank you for following us along our journey!

We were just thinking this same idea, cursing south has been totally unlike the first part of leaving and while we are still learning the lessons are a lot less stressful and harsh. Thanks for watching Dominique!

I have been laid up for several months after having back surgery. Videos like yours are what have gotten me thru the cold Ohio winter and recovery. I have a 34' Sea Ray on Lake Erie which should launch in the next few weeks. I love that your Mom and Grandmother and his Mom and Dad were able to share a leg of this with you. Your Grandmother looks and sounds like she is a bit of a rascal. I have a 90 year old Dad and he is bit of rascal himself. I have a lot of videos to watch to see your complete journey but look forward to it.

What a memorable and great start! Yes, sitting at a dock with the wind rocking you into it is miserable. You totally made the right call to go out to anchor. Love your nana, she is a hoot!
