Definitely one of the best ROTTMNT movie animatics. Raph and Donnie's deaths echoing the way they almost died in the new timeline, Casey all alone at the end... Poor boys.

Ok. I usually smile when I see well done animatics, no matter if it’s very sad, but with this one, my heart started hurting at the end, when all the fam was together but Casey started crying.

This is one of the sweetest animatics of the Rise Movie and no one can tell me otherwise. Also, I think Casey should’ve been in the group hug even though he’s not family to them yet. It was fitting when the lyrics said “Like shells in the foam” since they’re turtles. I even like how you drew Casey as a cute little kid.

I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING ... *sobs*

God that’s the most beautiful saddest video I’ve ever watch Siri bad for Casey and donnie 💔🥺🥺🥺💜🧡

Oh my gosh, I absolutely adore the idea of Leo having pretty much raised Casey. That makes their argument in the movie a lot more heartbreaking, but also a lot more meaningful.

As soon as I saw the title of this video I knew I would be emotionally devastated and I was so right. Splinter singing this song, Raph’s and Donnie’s deaths, Casey coming to terms with his loss, everything. This is also so emotionally powerful, really great work.

Casey, in his mind, he manage to bring to the Little Soldier boy home along with his brothers. But at the cost of losing all he knew and his parents.

This is too beautiful and sad, I can't, you manage to convey that feeling of nostalgia and accompanied by your drawings they simply complement each other perfectly. I definitely broke at the end. I congratulate you, it's just beautiful 💖🐢

Oh wow, this punched me hard. It's really, REALLY well done! Oddly enough, watching the guys die in Casey's timeline - it hurt like hell, yeah, but I didn't cry. What got me bawling was that last shot of Casey crying alone with Master Leonardo's spirit putting an arm around him. Super well done - thanks for sharing this with the fandom :)

Thanks to this animatic, I now headcanon that Casey has sung this song to the turtles. They were confused, as only splinter has sung that to them. Later, when Casey woke up from a nightmare (where he saw everyone die), he was crying loudly and hyperventilating, and the turtles heard him. They came over and sung the song to him. ... This is now canon for me thank you for animating this- I love this so much this is so cute

When I remembered this song while I was watching Casey, that's when I was shocked by realizing how true this song is for him. He IS a little soldier boy who can't go back home and lost all his family. This scruffy, apocalypse survival hardened, yet undereducated kid might never have been able to even imagine a healthy and whole world his whole life, when that is what he always fought for, and now when his war is won, he lost his whole past, future and family in exchange for the world what he wanted to experience and learn with his family. Who all died! 😭 Yes, I KNEW IT when I thought about this that I will find an animatic like this. 🥲 So, I finished watching this. The deaths were brutal but the ending BROKE ME!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭 Somebody, hug this kid, include him in the family hug, damnit!!!!! MAKE HIM FEEL HE'S HOME!!!!
