Leavenworth Christmas Lights + Snowy Lake Serene
We took a festive holiday day trip to the Leavenworth Christmas Lighting Festival and did a snowy hike to Lake Serene and WOW it was the best way to get in the holiday spirit! Leavenworth is the cutest Bavarian village town located in Washington state and makes you feel like you're in Europe. We had the best day playing in the snow, eating bratwursts, dancing with Rudolph, and seeing the Christmas lights.

Grew up in Cashmere, just 12 miles away from Leavenworth. Love it soooo much!! Thanks for taking me back "home". That dog was something else! haha!

I’m from Texas move to Tri-City’s for 3 moths and I’m soooo exited to visit Leavenworth Wa. I’m like 3 hrs away. I hope is snowing 🌨 for Christmas 🎄 and yes us Texans we get exited a bout snow ❄️ lol 😂 love the video🙌🏽 thanks for sharing 🤗

Ahhh exciting!!! We are from Texas too and loved seeing snow when we lived in Washington. It’s so pretty! Have the best time in Leavenworth, it’s one of our favorite places in WA!
Love this place went to Seattle to visit my brother and his husband and they took us to Leavanworth. Cutest little town.

We live in Wa. and I've been bugging my Hubby to take me there around Christmas. After seeing the crowds and long lines...Oh hell to the NO!!! Too old but thanks for sharing this.

We HATE crowds and agree it’s a bit packed, but the experience was still super fun! Maybe you can visit after the holidays when it dies down some! (They keep the lights on until February I think!)
My sister wanted to take me to Leavenworth when I visited the area but we just didn’t have time. It looks like a cool place. But I would probably visit in the summer not in November or December.

Hey y’all, I loved the video! My family is planning on Christmas in Leavenworth this year and I was wondering if the drive was very difficult when you went? We’re wondering about snow chains. lol

Hi Megan! We got lucky and no chains required when we visited (early December), but I do know sometimes they do. It can vary so much depending on the weather though. I’m sorry that’s not more helpful!

I'm thinking about going to leavenworth for Christmas this year 2020. I'm a solo traveler, and I was thinking about renting a car. The only thing is I'm debating because I have never driven in snow before. Any advice you can give?

Hi Louie! We would suggest renting a 4x4 and also make sure you get some chains (not sure you need them for a 4x4 but just to be safe). I’m not sure if rental companies rent chains or not, but you can always buy them and if you don’t use them return then. We lived in WA for 3 years and never had to use them thankfully. They tend to keep the roads pretty clear and you may not even see snow in Leavenworth depending on the weather!

It really depends! Sometimes there is and sometimes it’s later than Christmas.
What day did you guys drive to Leavenworth? We are planning to go this December 17 we hope there is snow.
