Mine came in a leather pouch. It has no stamped model number either. Must have had it since the early 90s I guess.

There are sellers on Ebay trying to take advantage asking a lot of money for these Adapters so, don't get confused!..😕?? The first original version of these tools #0598 with the bumps and bent tab (see 9:15) cost about $40/$45 because it "only" fit the Super Tool and PST group multi-tools. The second "Universal" version, the one with no bumps, no tab #0602, cost about $80 or maybe more because it was made to fit newer multi-tools like the Wave, Charge, Surge, Rebar and several other models.

Joey Blazenyak $55 plus 5.25 shipping! They are selling the old version for 50 on Ebay. Mine is the one that fits wave and some other multitools.(newer version) and its new . Never used.

Oh I see this is in case your Leatherman doesn't come with the bit driver. I love the bit driver it's the part I use the most.

No, the Tool Adapter allows the use of standard 6.3 mm bits and allows larger tightening torques.

The pre-2004 model Wave tools didn't have a bit driver

I am new to Leatherman & just bought a Sidekick. I am researching bit drivers & thankfully stumbled upon your channel. After reading through the comments, I am still unsure if V2 of these adapters will fit the Sidekick/Wingman? What about possible cutting the tabs of V1 to fit a Sidekick? For the Wingman and Sidekick: tool adapter V2. To transform the V1 version into V2, you must use a grinder to remove the lugs (which were useful for old Leatherman models).

The shop in Luxembourg that I gave the link sells only the old model (and cheap but I do not know if it sells outside Europe). It is quite easy to machine to get the new model (see my video). You should check eBay regularly to see if the Tool Adapter is on sale! :)

Cher Hyun. Non, pas du tout, il ne sera jamais plus au catalogue de Leatherman. Mais il existe encore des boutiques qui vendent des Tool Adapter ou alors sur eBay. Je souhaitais en acquérir un second exemplaire (un avec un étui en cuir), j'en ai trouvé un qui n'était vraiment pas cher (19 €) et je n'ai découvert qu'en le recevant qu'il en existait deux variantes, un modèle initial pour les PST II et Super Tool, et un autre qui est venu bien après, plus universel.

Oui, trop cher ... car j'ai acheté mon exemplaire 20 € !!!, ici : www.rc-machines.com/fr/divers/articles-de-cadeau/leatherman-tool-adapter-evec-tui-en-cuir-et-6-bits . Mais j'ai eu un problème avec cette boutique basée au Luxembourg, l'étui en cuir ne fut pas livré, le clip de ceinture du boîtier en plastique était cassé et le prix et la durée de livraison déraisonnables : litige en cours de résolution.
