What is the tube like notch at the top of the bit kit holders. For the life of me I can't figure out a purpose.

Most will yeah. The molle is in the front but the generic nylon cases in the back.

Hi would it all fit in the leather sheath and is it too heavy for carrying all the time? I use the wave everyday and love it.

hey. I think you need the nylon one. and as to the weight it all depends on you. I mean I can pretty much carry it at all times and be fine other people not so much.

Would the bit extender/bit kit work with the Leatherman Crunch? It's got the removable adjusting rod for the pliers that has a 1/4" hex slot in it. Thanks in advance!

Yes it does. You can put the bits in as normal, and they will still work in the Crunch. It will also take the bit extender. It is a really good addition.

How do you use the tiny Phillips/flat bit? I don't see where it connects to the Leatherman itself.

Daniel Desrochers the Leatherman wave has a driver for that little bit

warning, do not put the bit extender in the side elastic pouch, squeese it inthe pocket for the bits

I cinched mine down by sewing the elastic tighter to the extender, easy fix.

The only thing I find a little awkward with that bit kit is that they didn't label any of the bits. It takes a little while looking through all of them to find the right one, especially the flatter ones. Would it really been so much trouble to put a little T6, P1, H1/4, so I could see at a quick glance what I have there with out having to think too much about it and trying to get the right bit. Especially when there over 40 of them I have to look through. Might have to take a marker or etcher, and add that to the flat back of the containers that holds the bits.

I agree that probably should be included. However, with experience you will be able to pick them out with or without a label quickly

Just get a cheapo engraver tool and put it in yourself. But you're gonna look at the damn things to read it and by then you can tell which one it is so there's not much point. Or just label the actual sheath for them and make sure they go back in the right spot.

If you look closely then you will see that the bits are labeled
