Learning Who You Really Are Through Jesus Christ

Henry B. Eyring is an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Henry Bennion Eyring was born on May 31, 1933, in Princeton, New Jersey, to Henry Eyring and Mildred Bennion. His father was a prominent theoretical chemist, while his mother was active in the LDS Church. Henry B. Eyring grew up in a family that placed a strong emphasis on both faith and education.
Eyring holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Utah and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Before his full-time church service, Eyring worked in academia and business. He served as a professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and later became the president of Ricks College (now known as Brigham Young University-Idaho) from 1971 to 1977.

This has been my problem my whole life. I was born with a learning disability, so from the beginning school was very hard and ended up giving great anxiety that I sill have today, 50 years later. This anxiety has keep me from trying many things and life has been very miserable. But as I look back on my career as a survey crew chief I cannot believe the things that I accomplished. From bridges over the Colorado river, many, many subdivisions, to my last years under ground surveyor in Utah coal mines. Thousands of jobs. And you know, as far as I know I never made a mistake that I didn’t catch before it was to late. How could I have done that without Jesus Christ at my side? No way. Sometimes the answer on how to do things right came to me at night and woke me from a dead sleep. I’ve been blessed.

This talk is very inspiring and it goes to show you, never put a limit on your growth in this life. Ignorance is no excuse except for failure and a lack of trying. Take advantage of the gift of motivation, asking you will receive. Being a victim is only a pigment of your imagination. Really the word victim is degrading the worth of a soul. Be kind to yourself because God will never create a victim, He will only create the very best. Satan is the only one that has created victims.

Prez Hinckley stated (paraphrasing) When you realize who you really are, you'll be sorry you didn't try harder. I think that applies to ALL people everywhere. Here's another: When you come to understand how much God and his Son Jesus love you, you'll wish you'd tried harder to please them.

Meekness and humility and a testimony from the heart more moving than bible thumping gim flapping. Trying to clean up the soul yes but grace before works thus the help enabling power of the holy ghost is and becomes our strength to live obedient.
