It broke my heart when she said that her father disowned her and people were rude to her when she moved to Utah. I am so glad that she has such a powerful testimony to fight through the adversity. Also a reminder to love your kids in spite of the choices they sometimes may make, and also not to be judging people by their outward appearance, but to seek to get to know the real them. What a beautiful talk and a powerful testimony.

There is difficult situations everyone has to handle. Mine was similar, but it was my girlfriend that I wanted to marry said it was for me get baptized or we don’t continue together. Then 20 years later after living the full LDS life- she read the truth of LDS/Mormon history and then told me she wasn’t believing or going to church any longer. A shift in life again, but we get through the trials thankfully 😊

What do you know about Christ Tristan! It looks like she is coming closer to Christ by praying. I guess it’s your turn to teach what you know. I think coming to Christ is a group effort. She mentioned how hard it was to join The Church of Jesus Christ of …. I’m waiting to hear your journey to Christ. She has convinced me she found something that made her feel good. She mentioned not one of her friends stayed on her journey to Christ and her family even left on her journey to Christ. She truly is searching. Teach! Share! Your wisdom! Show your beliefs! Your humility is leaving plenty of room for a flooding of God's love into your soul. Many apostles have testified that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and other divine beings (Heavenly Mother, etc.) know each and every one of us by name. Elder Uchtdorf, October 2011, "You matter to Him", Sister Elaine Dalton, April 2005, "He knows You by name", just from a quick search. I will read these talks. Sending you a blessing, Julie, ❤ 🙏

Why were your “Asian friends” screamed at to go home during COVID? Are you implying that because of where it originated some idiots took it out on people who weren’t even there or not responsible for? I’m curious…it’s almost like how white people are screamed at to sit down due to stuff that happened long ago, or how democrats are screamed at for their absolutely racist KKK and Jim Crow ties. If this is what you’re talking about, I hope none of us judge people from what their ancestors or members of some long gone skin colored people did to others. I know how satanically evil CRT (just another form f racism that is somehow allowed) is…in all manners of manifestation.

In the late 70's I had the privilege and joy to hear the testimony and experience of another young lady from New York who was a convert and previously of the Jewish faith. After talking to the missionaries, then telling her mother that she had, she told her mother that she would never believe in Jesus Christ - what surprise she had coming. Like you, she accepted our Savior, was ostracized, moved to Utah, and, along with 2 other students from Utah State, were talking in our small ward over the mountain from Logan. I can't tell you how much I admire both of you! Thank you. I worked in the Jordan River Temple before covid hit and had the joy of working in the baptistry on Tuesday mornings. A brother who had tattoos came in every Tuesday and had 30 - 40 names of ancestors. I had the opportunity to help with confirmations one morning. I asked if these were all his? They were all ancestors of widows in his ward. His tattoos never bothered me, but I never saw his tattoos again after that. Bless you for sharing! 🙏

This talk really spoke to me. There are so many times when I have wondered why such pain and suffering has occurred or is occurring in my life or in the lives of others. The why rarely is given in the moment and is seen looking back. Like hiking up a steep mountian it isn't until we raise up that we see how far we have come. Like Joseph of Egypt God can redeem our tragities into miracles of salvation.

I wonder if Al’s dad ever saw this talk. I enjoyed this talk and some of your story is heart breaking. What you went through after joining the LDS church. You are very strong person. You could’ve gave up easily but you stayed strong. You’re such a inspirational person. Thank you for your story. You also have a wonderful family.

What a Profoundly Powerful testimony!! I can feel her powerful spirit speak to my heart when she is talking. Maybe because i understand where she is coming from, as i have felt very similar judgements from members. A big reason i never wantrd to go to Utah, is i hear the horror of so many LDS people out there. I breaks my heart to hear so many experiences like this, outcast, unwanted, and destitute. Thats so wrong in so many ways... but to get it from her family and friends too!?? She is where she is meant to be! Hopefully many of the judgmental people can feel the love from people like Al, and turn away from their prejudgments.

Woah!!! It’s so crazy to see this kind of member being sincerely genuine. Being herself and her cadence and tone isn’t too annoying. Being herself, using her hands to communicate. Starkly different to other LDS adherents. Refreshing and needed for the LDS people. 👍

"Much of the major growth that is coming to the Church in the last days will come because many of the good women of the world … will be drawn to the Church in large numbers. This will happen to the degree that the women of the Church reflect righteousness and articulateness in their lives and to the degree that the women of the Church are seen as distinct and different-in happy ways-from the women of the world.” Spencer W. Kimball 1979, quoted by President Nelson. Al, this is you!
