You keep saying "not a real move" but skating is fun in that any experimental skate play is a move. Maybe not recognized by coneuseurs but they're moves none the less and your progress was pleasant to watch.

You really did well in 14 days. I think the previous rollerblading helped. I’m an older adult who only went roller skating once as a child. I didn’t get nearly as far as you did in way more than 14 times going to the roller rink. However, your video is inspiring. I stopped going out and doing things when the pandemic started. Actually, I ordered a new unicycle the week before the pandemic and I still haven’t learned to ride it. Not giving up! I have all the vaccinations 💉 and boosters and I’m going out learn to skate and ride the uni. Thanks for sharing your learning process. 👍☮️🌞🛼❤️

I just started skating and I've been skating on tennis and pickleball courts! They're super smooth, flat, they don't have any cracks or anything.

You did great!! I wish I had big spaces to practice. I'm on day 2 and obsessed with learning :D

what do you mean you wish you had big spaces to practise? does outside not exist for you?

I’m learning to skate for the first time and these vids help a lot. Outside of a few beginners classes at my local rink, this was my first week skating with a seasoned crowd. I’m still maybe at your day 1 maybe 2 in confidence and ability but the people at the rink been great and offered all types of tips. I got a personal pair of skates arriving any day which will go a long way in this process.

I love watching your videos. Just got my skates and tried them out today. I have been away from skating for over 30years. I feel like I am starting all over. I recommend please wear protective gear and a helmet. I fell back and the helmet protected my head when I fell back. I also tighten my skate wheels after fall and did better going forward and do forward bubbles. Thanks again for all your hints. Also never look down while skating because I was looking down when I fell. Chin up, look straight ahead, bend knees🥰🛼🛼

I enjoyed watching. You did great. I cant wait to get my skates, it will be my 1st too.

@@shyshadow90 well i got my skates only tried like a week and i fell a few times but the last time i fell..i hurt my shoulder, i couldn't lift my arm for a week. i haven't tried since last year. i bought different wheels 2 weeks ago but i cant get the nerves to try again. I'm 39, i don't have time to be breaking bones lol. good luck with your skating.

I just got my skates and practiced a little bit in my living room yesterday. Today will be my first day out with skates, yay! Just like you, I have no previous experience with roller skates but went inline skating as a kid and teen so I decided I will try and follow your 14 day drill and see how well I can keep up! Thank you for sharing your progress with us!

Thank you I Got my skates I put them on a roll forward and fell backwards and broke my wrist… I still want to try once my wrist heals, I am 60 years old now. And I have never skated this is some thing that is on my bucket list so I really want to do it I just watched millions of beginner skating and yours is very interesting to me please keep sending videos and give me any tips that you may have once I get my cast off I want to try again

Yo, I just got skates for the first time and I am about to start skating. 😬😃 This made me really excited to get better and gave me a bit of confidence about my non-existent skating skills. 🙃🤣

I don't know if you've noticed while watching the playback of this video, but those skates (and your practices) have really shaped your legs. This is my goal with the skates I have coming. Keep skating...you're doing great.

you are a great teacher, poise and well balanced. I am a newbie man from London, UK, you gave me a lot of encouragement to go and out and practice. right now, I am only doing a five minutes back and forth in the kitchen. what do you suggest? I feel I am bit scared to be out in the open space nothing to hold on too as in my kitchen I wobble then there is worktop and wall to hold on too ... lol.... what do you suggest ? should I be out and for how long and what to watch out ? please

Have you been to a roller skating rink yet?? They skate counter clockwise most of the time. So you may wanna practice crossovers going that direction.

Im also 57 n i skated in my early teens n loved it for 5 years almost daily! its wat i did. Then life stress n kids replaced it n ive jus returned to it after 30 years n my pads n helmets are just part of me, i wont skate witjout them. i really dnt care wat anyone thinks, it means i can safely still enjoy skating knowing that the protection may help reduce any potential damage from falling. Be aware u can still get hurt even with protection, but at least theres a chance it will help. Wear ur paddin n helmet with pride guys! I jus kp my helmet on so everyone jus has to accept it!

see i am a figure skater and i also roller skate but crossovers are so scary for me because while ice skating i keep getting caught on my toe pick and while roller skating as well and i also am scared of not lifting my foot up enough so it gets caught on my other foot, idk what i should do tbh

Very inspirational. I'm learning for the first time. Dirty Debbie Harry teaches that you are supposed to use your upper body to turn front-back-front, and hips and feet follow. She uses her arms to point like an ice skater.

Definitely get a helmet, some knee and elbow pads, and maybe even shorts with butt padding! If you can find a smooth tennis court nearby, that would be great too.

Butt pad shorts do exist, I got mine from Amazon for rollerskating.

Definitely you are faking… that’s not how you feel or do it on day one.. keep it real girl
