Ay all and welcome back to another video, and what a great time I had making this one. Catching up with some boys from Ahrnem Land they took me out spear fishing and showed me some of there ways, than top top it off, showed me what wood I needed to make my own spear and a few tips to go with it. Other than that we find our self a nice little camp spot to chill out and to be able to put a line out right in our front yard. So put ya legs up grab a cold one and come along.
Cheers all :)
The glasses I have are 'Spotters' Artic+

It reminded me of when I was a kid watching you al wade through the waters and spear them fish. i used to go Eeling at night down the river with my mates back in New Zealand. We used to use a hook and line and a gaff and sometimes a spear like yours. So cool to see the old ways are still a real thing. I imagined I was right there with you’s keeping a lookout for the next fish. Awesome stuff.
Thanks mate I dunno why but I find myself an alcoholic big time and when it's time to go back to work I struggle real bad watching you makes me feel better calms me a bit cheers bruz

Sorry you feel that way about your self man. I’m happy you find some what peace when watching us though… have a safe and merry Xmas ay.
FYI us white fellas call that tree Beach Hibiscus (Hibiscus tiliaceus), common in Top End coastal beaches, in monsoonal forests more inland you can use a similar species called Macaranga (Macaranga involucrata) ..... both are also very useful for friction fire. Any hard wood is used for the throwing stick/woomera, usually a Eucalypt/Gum tree. Keep having a great adventure

Cheers man, thanks for sharing the knowledge with us… I had an idea what we called it, Just wanted to know what they called it.. I do come across it a lot but had no idea they used it for spears. Almost as light as balsa wood when dried out ay.

Nothing better being on country with true countrymen showing the real way. Great footage legend.
I bought myself a pair of those sunglasses. The best most comfortable sunglasses I have ever owned. You should be the ambassador for Spotters sunglasses. Now I walk around thinking I'm as cool as the Camp Man but my wife does not seem to agree. She thinks I'm a legend in my own mind. Ohh well, at least I'm happy wearing Camp Man style sunglasses now. Thanks for your recommendation. 😁🦘🇦🇺🍺😎😎😎
