    I keep wondering how I`m just watching these videos for the first time while searching for other French videos to learn from. These videos are really insightful. Does Lingoni French design its study packages to help students who intend to write the TEF DALF exam for immigration. I just started learning French last month and I intend to study hard to write the B2 TEF exam eventually.

    Hi, Alicia! I'd like to thank you for these amazing lessons, they are really helpful. Can you please explain me the following thing: why do we use the construction " Est-ce que" to ask " Est-ce que vous pouvez parler plus lentement?" , but don't use it when we say " Vous pouvez répéter, s'il vous plaît? "

  • @lingoniFRENCH

    @lingoniFRENCH

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hello! Thanks for your question :) Actually I just used an alternative form to ask a question, but Est-ce que would have been fine too. So Est-ce que vous pouvez répéter or vous pouvez répéter, or pouvez-vous répéter is something you could say, The only thing that changes, is how "formal" the question sounds.

    I have a question. To which group does the verb 'can' belong and how do you conjugate it in French? Tu peux répéter ,s'il te plaît . And Vous pouvez répéter,s'il vous plaît. In these sentences,why is répéter not being conjugated? And usually while conjugating verbs with informal you ( tu) we remove the r and add an s , why is that not so for peux?

  • @lingoniFRENCH

    @lingoniFRENCH

    Hello, The verb is POUVOIR, it is a verb of the 3rd group. In the sentence tu peux/vous pouvez répéter, the structure tu peux is followed by an infinitive : tu peux finir, prendre, aller, manger, etc...

    You are a fantastic teacher Alicia but you would be even better if you slowed down when reading the sentences. Sometimes it sounds like one long word. There should be at least a slight pause between each word that I think most teachers find difficult.
