Learn to Skateboard in 1 Month (Ollie, Kickflip, Drop In, Grind) || Max's Monthly Challenge
Ойын-сауық
Can I learn to Ollie, Kickflip Drop-in & Grind in 1 month!?
That's the question I tackled this month for my latest challenge.
Since I was a teenager I've always wanted to learn how to skateboard. I tried it but thought it just wasn't suit for my body being so tall and inflexible. Now, 17 years later I'm back to jump on a skateboard and see what I can learn!
Can I learn to Ollie, Kickflip, Drop-in & Grind in just 30 days! I'll be sharing my journey along the way.
If you have any questions please drop me a comment!

Two Eye come of man, you can’t be that bad. I used to practice Ollie’s from the time I got out of school until 9 and I took a shower and ate and went to bed. I took about 3 months and then I moved and couldn’t take my street board with me. All I have and can afford is my longboard and I can’t do any tricks now. If you went through my Situation I think you would quit bro. Perpetuation demands dedication. Don’t say you suck bc that’s what keeps you a novice. I’m one of the best goddamn skaters I know and I can’t even ollie but I know I can rekindle my skills bc I could do Ollie’s, kickflips, heelflips, shove-it’s and all kinds of freestyle tricks. It’s always in arms reach bro and when you start thinking it’s not it’s like chopping your shit off.

This guy gets it. Its about how you try to learn shit. If you're actually focused and committed to learning stuff you will learn quicker. Most if ya'll probably just repeat the same shit over and over, not thinking about what you're doing and just hope that one day you're magically going to be able to do it. "What am I doing wrong?" "That was good, do it exactly the same!" "That was bad, what did I do wrong?" You can't just get angry and frustrated because its not working, figure it out and try to fix it.

@@jsbfkdls It also helps if you have a someone teaching you, most people who do the same thing over and over again are only doing it because they have no clue what theyre doing wrong, its a lot easier when someone is there to point out your mistakes so you can adjust.

I also think it’s about how athletic you already are. I'm relatively new to skateboarding and skating the last two days my legs hurt so much that I can’t really train that much today. But yeah otherwise I agree with you✌️

funny enough g i had the same thing when i started skating, its hella common and it sucks, best thing to do is just wait for 3-5 days and it will start to go away, best thing about it is that it wont happen again unless you break or sprain it on something, keep killing it!
i've spent the last three days 10-6 at the skatepark trying to ollie and for the life of me i cant, its so impressive to see you pick all of this up straight away!

Dope. Continue to be super inspiring. Falling in skating is tough, and the stacks can be epic. Super enjoying these videos 👊

you did great homie! satisfying to watch!
When you watch someone tell you how to land a kickflip: “alright i got this it’s easy” my board 10 mins into practicing: *no*
man your ollie’s were really smooth ollie especially for the very beginning. I’ve been trying to ollie for so long and my back truck barely goes off the ground. also: that method of dropping in was really good, when i tried my friend just told me what to do (and it resulted in an almost sprained wrist) amazing work my guy, even though this video is older

chaotic snail if you are still not getting the back trucks off the ground use you ankle not your leg to pop and then lift your leg up off the ground
the 1 month challenges are cool. keep it up!
Man getting back into skating has been amazing for me. I'm 26 and went to a skate plaza for the first time. I had a shifty board and after five minutes I had 2 new decks and had pointers from different guys there.
I hope he becomes a huge youtuber

It makes me so happy to see him land that kick flip
wow I’m a begginer, and yesterday I try to dropped in but I had a MRL or wtv it’s called, I was gonna quit skateboarding cuz I thought dropping in or ollieing is impossible but no u thought me to never give up, and today I’m feeling better I can walk, a little bit bend my knees, so after like a few days I’m gonna try to Ollie and get more comfortable so I can drop in, thanks a lot bro for teaching me something!

I'm 34 years old and just bought my first skateboard...haven't been on a skateboard since I was 12 years old. I've been riding an electric kick scooter around San Francisco and now looking to give skateboarding a shot. Thanks for the video!

I'm on day 4 of skating, I'm hoping to progress as well as you do.
Ok let's appreciate how fast this guy is progressing it took me almost two years to learned an ollie by holding on to something let alone while moving or stationary he's good
Great job! That’s impressive how fast you were able to learn all of these!
Great episode!

See I may be late, but this dude is great. I really want a skateboard because I had a crappy penny board and I still have it but I can’t even do tricks on it but idk my board size since I’ve never even used a real skateboard

Bro this was sick to watch. So inspiring watching you do this.
Props to your trainer and to yourself...This is awesome!
This is a great video and really showcases the things about skateboarding that's so amazing - learning in small increments. People need to think more about taking things piece by piece when learning them.

skateboarding is fun ive realized u learn a lot faster with someone pushing you took me a week to learn how to ollie on my own when i was just starting, but ive been able to teach a few people how to ollie in a couple hours
it took me me 2 weeks!!!! To get even close to an Ollie and this man did it in ONE DAY.
I don't want to brag but I started skating 5 days ago. I can now: Ollie about 30cm high, Drop in a Quarterpipe (higher then his), I can't kickflip yet..., I can also grind a bit, well I can do a little feeble and 50-50 in the Quarterpipe

That’s really cool he was able to learn so much in only a month but for the people watching who want to learn to skate, it’s really important to get comfortable on your board and gain good balance so you don’t look like a total noob :) just spend time cruising around as much as you can, this will make you more confident when it’s time to do tricks.

Not so much. I do a new challenge every month and they can be very time consuming (along with running 2 businesses and other life things). I'm thinking of doing a 360 flip challenge next year though!
