Learn to improvise on violin (and other instruments!) Stop relying on sheet music or tabs

"I don't have sheet music... what do I play?" When someone asked me to "play something" I would panic and ask myself this question. But then I learned to improvise and play by ear! It changed the way I see music and opened me up to other genres which allowed me to break away from only playing classical music, or transposing piano pieces of movie scores that I couldn't find for violin. I hope this video helps you do the same! Leave me a comment if you have questions and I will do my best to help :)

interesting, I'm a beginner I'm guessing I need to train my ear some more so i can recognize what chord is being played first? LOOLL

Well when I first started learning about improv, I tried to follow chords but it just became too much to think about while trying to come up with a melody to play. I just kept practicing it until I could follow the chords naturally I guess! And you definitely play wrong notes no matter what, so embrace them because sometimes they sound cool haha 😊
