Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I've always wanted to learn how to fly rc planes but never knew where to start! In this video, I take you through a beginner's journey to rc flight. Horizon Hobby sent me some cool stuff to try out. You too can take to the skies!
The Sport Cub S is the perfect setup to gain confidence and learn how to fly. Thanks to Horizon Hobby for sending me these items to test out. Full disclosure: I'm a brand ambassador for Horizon Hobby and try out various products they send me but I'm not a paid sponsor. Views are my own!

I just found you on KZread and watched your video on the Blade 120 heli and now this one. I think you are very coordinated and skillful seeing how well you fly these two aircraft as a beginner. I'm impressed. It's one thing when the aircraft is flying calmly but when the wind or something causes it to do things you don't expect and you can react and keep it from crashing that's another thing. That's a good pilot! Fantastic video!

After my cub I moved up to a 36 inch low wing civilian. Which was almost identical to my new 50 inch cherokee from h h. It flies as easy just need more space. Continue to fly, new subsbr

Got my Grandson one of these - he was maybe 10 yrs old at that time. First flight, he flew it way too high and it went out of sight. We kept hitting the panic button and hoped for the best. After searching for about 1 hr, I found it sitting upright in the corner of a farmer's field about a half mile away. Not a scratch on it. This is a perfect beginner's plane.

When I learnt to fly, before any assistance electronics, I found that it's a good idea to fly a constant circuit. I did left hand circuits for about 4 sessions (days) . Then I did Touch & goes which prepare you for landing. The reason for the left hand circuits was so that when you got into trouble you had an automatic routine that you didn't have to concentrate on to recover your confidence. I learnt in 1992.

That is awesome that you are branching out into flight! I dabbled in it about 15 years ago with limited success, but last year I decided to dive back in head first. I watched a ton of Flite Test videos and learned as much as I could. I bought a Taranis radio and used it with some sims. I built the FT Tiny Trainer and was able to get the hang of basic 4-channel flight. The real breakthrough happened after I joined a local flying club where I could share the sky with folks that have been in the hobby for decades. I can't recommend clubs enough. Anyways, congrats on your successful maiden and I look forward to following along in your journey!

R/C planes have come a long ways since I first got into it many years ago. I use to tell beginners, try to start with a larger plane (easier to see) & not to fly when windy. But now, many small planes have the new radio stabilizing system. Easier to fly in wind. Nice Video.

Electric flight and all the tech really helps even if you have RC flight experience. The old days of buy, build and crash was expensive and disappointing. This is soooooo much cheaper and the planes come home in one piece! It's fun to watch you as you learn different skills. Thanks for inspiration! C Gul

Thinking about dipping my toes into RC planes, watching my first flight video, and loving it! From here it looks like a small directional breeze could be helpful, it really slows the plane going against the wind, which should make landing a bit easier. (I think) Looks to be an entertaining hobby, and much easier to learn on compared to the nitro RC planes my father flew when I was a child over 30 years ago. Thanks!

A few days ago I watched a Horizon Hobbies video advertising the eFlite F-18 hornet, and now I have to have it. It isn't a want, it's a must, BUT I have to learn how to fly a plane first. The one in your video I may have to get to learn. When I get an understanding and feel comfortable with it, then I'll get that F-18. I'll probably get a higher tier radio than the DX6 because if I buy one plane, I'll have 4 when I'm done....at least. Lol. When I got my first surface RC, I said to myself "this is all I need" now 8 trucks, and 1 boat in, I know what to expect. There is 3 left that I want and that's not including the F-18.

Hi, I flew mine outside for the first time today. Ground handling isn't very easy, but doable with low RPM spurts. Flying it turns left very predictable, but right turns are about half/three quarters as good. I stayed at less than full throttle most of the time to save on battery time, but also I was flying in a parking lot that is maybe 20m wide by 80m long and fenced. I think the airplane might be more fun as I fly it more. I don't have a camera person to take videos.

Bound to encourage newbies to get out there and fly. Good riddance to the days when we had to glue/tape/rebend/replace all that foam and balsa before our first soft landing, especially in the wind. Though I would wager your ground experience helped you master the controls. Well done all around.

Now, that is just too kool. I'm a total novice to this rc plane stuff, but it seems like a lot of fun. Thanks to you and your video, I'm going to get the same plane. I have a DX8 controller and will bind it to that. I have a "little" experience flying drones (DJI Spark and, my favorite, a Parrot ANAFI). Thanks, again for a great video and your presentation is so nice.

Very nice video. I really enjoyed seeing the 2nd landing, and how happy she was the plane was still intact . I think of my first efforts to fly Cox .049 powered 2 channel planes way back when. I got good exercise going hiking to look for what remained of the plane. It is nice to see people taking an interest in the magic of flight.

If you are new to rc planes, keep in mind the small planes are harder to fly than a bigger one. I had a Mini J3 piper cub like the one in this video 24" wingspan, that thing was a real handful even in minor wind, the smaller and lighter your plane, the more wild it will control. Flying is harder than you think, start with a simulator to save yourself alot of money and don't get discouraged if you crash

Very nice and well researched video with lots of good advice! I've also started flying planes a month ago and I was surprised to see that I have pretty much had the same approach and places to get knowledge from ;) - I did also start with a good sim and then started witha parkzone f4f wildcat 1.0m. Today I feel pretty much comfortable landing my Clipped Wing Cub or AT-6 (both E-flite) with their gear. I actually only used Safe for hand launchig the Wildcat at the beginning until I found it that it's easier without Safe ;) I love this hobby and hope you also enjoy flying!
