Have you been wanting to learn how to fly RC planes for the first time? The AeroScout S 2 1.1m RTF with SAFE is a really great model to consider! It has beginner, intermediate and experienced flight modes so you can progress your skills over time. It's also a pusher prop, which will prevent prop strikes. This model comes both "Ready to Fly" (RTF) for ~$200 - which includes everything to get you in the air including battery/charger and transmitter. Or if you have your own Spektrum DSMX transmitter, you can get the "Bind and Fly" (BNF) version.
No better time to pick up RC flight!!

It's nice to see females enjoying the RC hobby.
I'm an old guy, 82, who got back into RC two years ago after a 20 year haitus. All I can say is that the Scout would probably be a better beginners airplane than a trainer like an Apprentice. Just don't go full throttle because these things can go fast. At my club here outside of Phoenix, we race Scouts...lol. However, any beginner absolutely needs a Real Flite simulator and a teacher. Learning to fly without both can get very, very expensive...lol.

That sounds like a fun club! The plane looks as though it flies really well..... I like planes that float and glide with ease. Hope this is one of them.
Great video. Thank you for talking.... so many people just go fly and don't say a word. Really appreciate your input. It helps when we know what you're thinking while you're doing something. Nice job!
Haven't flown rc planes in five years. Bought this plane after watching this vid. Back to basics again to regain my confidence and what a perfect plane to use. Thanks for the vid it was fun to watch!
I have an Aeroscout. Glad I bought it as my first plane. Easy to fly and land. For the type, it is reasonably fun, too. Flies upside down ok. The rolls are a bit slow but it can do it. After a few hundred flights the only repair is to the front wheel; avoid bonking down on the front wheel during landing.
Thank you for this! Dabble with quads and been thinking of a fixed wing that's RTF to start with and this is perfect! Big enough to add FPV later on. Great stuff!
Well done RC girl !!! I received my aeroscout 2 weeks ago and I love it! It's my 1st real plane. No tricks yet,but soon lol
I got the BNF version and 3 Spektrum G2 batteries and 2200 twin charger to go with my NX8 radio. Just ordered some voltage alarms after seeing your screen note. Glad for your real world and personable presentations. I always enjoy your cute spunky, thought out approach.
Nice review! This is the plane we learned to fly on. Much better than the super weak Sport Cub S2, which is not worth the money you spend for it. Beginners should see that you still need enough space to fly the AeroScout. It is pretty fast for a beginner plane and with safe on, your control over the plane is limited. Use the rudder on top of the ailerons when turning in safe. What can happen on hard landings, is that the servo of the front wheel (and thus the rudder) will break. Great beginner plane, especially if you learn alone. Good to have AS3X and the three flight modes and the panic button. Always stay "two mistakes high" above the ground.
Nice to see the ladies into R/C flying. "First-Class" instructional video!! We definitely think a young lady like you should enter the aviation field ASAP. You have the gift and technical knowhow. ✈
AWESOME video......thank you. This has helped me make up my mind on a plane to start with.......
Good to see you and glad your still flying planes love your channel like to see you fly more 😀
Nice video guys waiting on my timber evo to come but I want to pick up an aero scout just to toss in the car and have ready to go when ever weather allows for a flight. Great beginner plane but just looks like a fun no hassle plane for more advanced pilots.👍👍
In addition to loops, rolls, inverted, etc., the AeroScout will do a slip (sideslip, forward slip) very well if you are trying to bleed off altitude for a spot landing. To do a slip, apply rudder to one side and then steer with the ailerons. Some downward elevator may be required to maintain airspeed. In a turn, apply rudder to the outside of the turn and maintain bank angle with ailerons. It's fun!

Learning to fly radio control planes would be just like learning to surf. . .if every time you fell off you had to buy a new surfboard 🙄
Thanks for the video. I recently purchased this for my 15 year old grandson. We're going to take it on it's maiden flight soon. I've not flown RC before but we've been practicing on the simulator a little bit. Honestly, I'm a bit nervous about how it might go but I'll at least make sure I have good sight selection and good weather.
Pleasure to watch you, and listen to you being passionately about a diversity of RC products. The plane is ok too :-P
Great video thank you for posting. Makes me almost wanna try and learn to fly a RC plane again.
Great review Girl. Finally a plane that comes with the transmitter.
Just bought this plane for my wife. Really hope she gets to the point where she enjoys the hobby. Great job to you both.
You are awesome and amazing! Thanks for the great videos and contributions to this hobby! Your videos are extremely informative and helpful! Great work Rc Girl
am thinking of taking up the hobby so now am hooked after watching your video and through time once experienced am going for the red arrows rc jet
Nice review; lots good tips and references. Love the bit near end with the two AeroScouts taking off and flying. This could make another nice flying video. ;)
Good day everyone.. Super, i must say. I have a still am following "Flight Test" with Josh.. Amazing
I just totaled mine yesterday. I super glued the whole plane and now it is back on the air.

Thank you so much I now actually know how to bind my aeroscout happy flying✈️
Hey! Just bought this RC plane from Amazon and can't wait to learn to fly. 👍
Im a 6 channel heli guy and some 4 channel helis. Im getting into planes maybe. My 1st one is on order, its a 23 inch wingspan super cub on amazon. If i get used to flying it i will graduate to this. Ty for the “lessons”. Love seeing gals in the hobby. I watch the rc saylors, husband/wife team.
Nice job. RC Girl rocks.
Great video, love the drone footage. 👍🏼
Little boy just got one. Thanks for the information. Fingers crossed one the first flight
I have one of those. I love it!! Great Channel BTW.
Wow I have the same plane like you I almost Crash it but nothing break it still work I need a lot of train to fly larger planes.
I’m new to this hobby and WOW… with this plane it will be very easy to learn!!
I like your presentation.... not a lot of repetitive talk. to the point and move on. I just got this plane. My first rc. Learning the controls is a learning curve, but I'm getting it. Thanks for the video...
I already knew how to fly but i bought the aero scout to just play around with. Maybe fpv in the future. Its a great plane to just throw in the car and go. and not have to worry so much about dinging it up.

Agreed, it's a pretty low stress flying experience
Nice plane ✈️ good flying great job thumbs up 👍
Great vid Haley, you do seem to be progressing with the confidence of flying a plane. More stick time will gain more confidence, try flying a batt or two everyday. Get out of the SAFE crutch like you said, and fly your warbirds like a boss. Thanks for the content
A vacant r/c field, Awesome. Thx for the informative. Video!
Awesome airplane RC Girl I like it and enjoying the video and watching now awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎❤️ video
Glad I found this channel because I didn’t know where to start

i recommend the simulator RF9.5 before flying this plane. this is an excellent first plane, get the BNF model
Wow nice Landings
I have 12 rc planes, 2 of them are Airoscouts. Tweak the main landing gear to achieve positive camber on tires, it will "stick" itself to the ground on landing.
Nice flight ✈🛫🛬🛩 great job 👍
Great review! 👍
Thanks. Great presentation. I'm so tempted to get in the air. Been using the real flight sim.

Great plane to start I’ve been using it for months
Amazing MODEL.
Thank you for the review! Truly a great trainer plane!
Thank you for the video. Nice flying. When you were talking off in beginner mode with Safe Mode, were you using high or low rates? Thank you.
Thank you for getting me interested in RC planes. I have even talked to a company about moving into a NX 6 if I can. I don't believe that I am going to end up with a lot of planes but you never know right. As an old man I need something to do get me out of the house and who knows I might lear something. So thank you again
Great flying and commentary.
Awesome really appreciate,and enjoy Your videos,My Lady🌹
Wonderful presentation on rc flight training. RC Girl is also an RC Kitten… 👏🏻🐾🐈
Hi, thanks for the video lesson, I’m about beginner with the RC plane would you record the transmitter as well when you take off and landing the flight please.. thanks
nice to see you back ; )
Great landings! What are your top recommendations for a new pilot that doesn’t want anything too basic? I’ve only flown drones
Your videos are very well done.
Standard flight paturn at most airfields is up wind along the strip down wind on the far side of the strip from where all parties flying are standing.
hi R/C lady... ' enjoy R/C model airplane is a fun to playying... be carefully flyying and dont be crash
Yay to you RC GIRL ❗️👍🙂
Well done, kudos! NIIIIIIIIIIIICE! 😁👍
I'm gonna buy one of them. Thanks for the information and helpful video 👍👍
Hi RC Girl, That's some nice flying. Nice flight time, and your landing was good👍🏼 I can tell you're hard on yourself. Don't...just enjoy the hobby😄
Very nice👍
Great video I think I will buy one very well explained and can tell how much you enjoy what you do thanks from down under 🙏
That planes actually stronger than you would think. I broke the whole front off mine but just glued it back on still works

ha! that's great to hear
Hey, great video! I especially like the rc aircraft vids, the tech has come along way since my rc flying days. It would be good to understand what local rules are for rc flying. Maybe a vid about rules (laws) for flying locally and potentially in other areas would be informative. I am Canadian and live in the Vancouver area. In recent years, since the increased popularity of drone use, Transport Canada has taken a more active role in rc flight pursuant to the Aeronautics Act of Canada. In that act, rc fliers are basically separated into two camps, model airplane as a hobby and drone/uav operation for commercial purposes. So, producing a ‘how to vid’ for beginners that includes rc flight - is a commercial flight in Canada and the flight captured by the provisions of the act. Sorry to be so wordy and I know that rules for rc ops is different in the US, I just think a vid describing the rules would be good. 🙂
Good Wednesday afternoon to you all from Wellington Somerset in the UK

I don't care who one is, or their skillset, when it comes to fun no worries flights this is a great win.. Can't wait for the bigger Ultrix to arrive, but this is a great fun time rig..
Awesome reviews 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very enjoying to watch! I see you flying an EDF Blue Angel soon??? 😉😉😉
I enjoy your series of videos....but have an important question.....I have seen your mention of low voltage battery alarms and would like to use them....however in the Aeroscout....the battery is the Spektrum Smart Battery.....with no balance lead......is there a type of alarm that will work with this type of battery?.....it seems the normal options will not work with this system
Hi,..Nice Video, long time Acro drone guy just starting fixed wings and bought this plane...Did you Ever Explain that Rate Switch ? What does it do on a Plane ?
Do you have to use a Spektrum radio for SAFE. to work or will any transmitter work with the SAFE receiver? Thanks .
Nice review. Where did you get the red plane stand?Tks
I hate that you never got to experience the HH HobbyzoneSports Super Cub that came out about 15 years ago. It was the first 3 channel plane that we (I say 'we' because my wife wanted it). Phenomenal aircraft. It had an earlier version of SAFE. While it's a true trainer, I'd recommend that you seek one out via Ebay or one of your many connections. I still have ours and hope to get it back in the air as I'm getting back into this hobby.
Thank you
Good video. I just got the aeroscout but haven't flown yet. I'm new to flying and am very fearful of the wind.
@lylekehrer6159

Yeah I'm new too so if there's any wind, I stick with my Deadbolt.
Thankyou so much, my grandson has a few social interaction problems, he loves his helicopters and planes, he is 6 years old, he has drones, but he loves more what your doing, can you recommend a good starter, I live on a farm so can make an airstrip or helipad, any advice from anyone on this site would be so very much appreciated Thankyou
Great video. Greetings!
Nice video excellent 👍
L love my 1.1, its my go to in the wind,
👍🏾💯 nice maiden
Ive got one of these among other horizon planes...of all the planes (besides opterra 2m) this one could have really been good with flaps, it glides forever and is hard to land on a baseball diamond size area (for me anyway)
Nice review. Good camera work whilst unboxing 👣😋
At 4:22 why do you have to bind it? Will the plane still be in SAFE mode even if you don't bind it? I'm just confused as to why you're binding the plane...😕😔 Why do you use the bind plug to bind the plane? Thanks!🙂
Had mine over a 1year now been to scared to fly it... i finally did and wrecked it all up.. was able to superglue fuselage together again it may still fly... but i never found out where my switches for throttle control, different modes, and kill switch was at.. how do i learn about the switches?
In 2days I had 2 of these fly away because of antenna placement. It flys good but the cub s2 is so much better

Not as good for beginners
Asroscout or apprentice (mini or the big one)? Great video!
Just bought the Aeroscout and am a beginner. I read somewhere that you can have another controller hooked to your controller to override a bad input that a beginner might make. The Aeroscout I bought came with the controller. Is this correct ?
Hello RC Girl, great Video with much informations❤Greetings from south-west germany(Swabian)😊
Very good instructional video. Would like to have seen how well it could handle grass takeoffs and landings.
@mtnmyke

Would be entirely fine with it's big wheels. Unfortunately the drought is bad this year and we don't have any grass to test on. 🙄
@BillKisel
2 жыл бұрын
@@mtnmyke I got one for my BD in August. Have flown it about 6 times. Handles the club grass landing strip just fine so long as it has been recently cut. Taller grass will have it struggling to takeoff. Like it a lot but do have trouble with my landings because the plane is very floaty, if you know what I mean. For me it takes a lot of runway to get it on the ground. Maybe try that double flare technique like you did in this video?
nice plane

can u also check messsenger
Am I able to fly this plane at a slower speed? I only ask cause I want this but don't feel like I'm good enough yet for the fast flying
Too late for me to learn in 2021, I did it in 1975. But that would have been a lot easier with one of those. I own three of them now, and use them for long range FPV right from my own yard. Not with the RTF radio gear, though. Stable, sturdy and efficient models.
Also watch those battery wires. They will block servo movement
By far my favorite plane to fly, it will be in the air why all other planes are grounded due to wind or weather. This plame can take a beating and ask for more.
Thanks!
