totally agree!
I really do like the fact that we can see him improve and that even he struggles with stuff.
Need a progression session video of this!
So surprised this had not come up sooner. You guys have know each other for so long. Actually surprised prior to Martyn's accident, you both had not done more cross discipline work with each other. Great that you guys did this video to help him now, was great for the rest of us too.
Why is this not called Learn to Fakie with Blakie???

A really loud hub helps too. Then you'll know if you're ahead or not.
Gotta start practicing some fakies now!! Thanks for the advice! 😀 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Send Blakie to Germany! I've taught lots of friends how to fakie and they've all learned it much quicker than I did :D

Best fakie video on KZread!
Congrats Blakey you can now Fakey. Kudos to Martyn the best teacher.
Huge improvement man. To be honest, I found it easier learning sat down. Standing up forces you to switch weight for each pedal stroke, making the bike sway. But sitting down allows you to centre yourself and relieve the pressure from both pedals at once, keeping the bike vertical.
I absolutely love vids with Blake! his talk is so different and makes videos so much fun to follow. Good tips on fakie , will definitely use these to get me started

It's funny how sometimes those with the epic skills for huge tricks suffer on the more subtle stuff. My main hobby is model flying and theres loads that can stir the sticks and throw the thing about in all sorts of crazy shapes, but get them to fly something fast, low and accurate and they go to pot. Meanwhile the rest of us will be flying in a tight 200mph group and we don't like things getting out of shape. If your muscle memory is set for one thing, it can stuggle with the other. Great vid
Good job Mr. Samson!! Love the two of you together. Great energy. Thanks for the vid!!
As always what a gas! Blake nice to see you advancing your skills. And Martyn, you dear sir are a class act. Now it's time to go practice.
Another pro video guys. Very helpful. Thank you for doing these pro tip videos on different skills.
Classic! Really well scaffolded. Thank you. Bookmarked, and now to practice. And practice.
We finally get to see Tom! Well, kind of
Awesome video!!! Nice to see the pros practicing skills.
Good thing i love learning, cause it's taking me a long time to learn.....well everything😄 Working on pivots and endos now. Travelling backwards a little bit, but everything takes like 4 months for me to learn. I love my mtb and all this stuff is so fun! Thanks goodness for these vids to help!
You're a beast Blake. Thanks for the video guys love the channel
Thanks so much. Brilliant video
Was literally looking for this last night. Nice one!
It's great to see Martin out 😀
Totes awesome boys. Loved it. Gonna try it!
Some really great tips here! Thanks!
New video I'm going to try this right now
that was greaty! Thx for the good tipps! pedeling backwards ahead of the chain tension and choosing a heavier gear will help a lot, I think ^^
Great tips vid. Awesome team.

Great work GMBN! I am thirteen years old and I have a new Haro frontside bmx as I cannot afford a dirt jumper: ( You guys should come to Ireland! There is an insane DownHill track in cork! Its in curadh woods! Keep up the awesome work by the way! GMBN is the BEST KZread CHANNEL EVER! You guys are a big inspiration for me and would love to meet one of you guys:)
I come from a bmx background and I ride left foot forward. I spin to the right and halfcab to the right (I can do it oppo, but right feels natural). Maybe Blake should try fakie to the left.
Nice timing.. I was trying to improve on this..
Wonderful!
Martyn teaching is the stuff 👍
Been waiting for this one lmao
You should do more videos like these, where you train someone who can't bunny jump if his life depended on it (like me...)
Good job!
Used to do this as a kid on my Raleigh grifter then progressed onto bmx then mtb, then I grew up and learnt to drive so it all went to pot... Time to re-learn the roll back / fakie again me thinks 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice one Ric Pearson, will probably come back to you quickly, like...... riding a bike.
Good man Blake 👍🤙
There is only one thing I long for everyday when coming home on my pc, it's the GMBN video.
I had the same problem, I was terrible at fakies. Then I've bought a fixed gear. I know that's probably a GCNs topic, but you should try it.
As a bmxer and perfoctionist i couldnt help mentioning spinning into your front foot out of a fakie is not usually the best habit to learn unless you are naturally goofy footed, since spining out of a 180 the oposit way u spun in is harder and often doesnt look as smooth.
Good job bro
Been waiting for this lol
Finally got one of the camera guys on camera. Good job :p
I’ve been trying to learn these lately
Nice fakie video. Blakie can just about fakie. I on the other hand definitely cannot fakie... yet. Armed with this bad boy of a video I will be smashing it soon. 😂😂😂🤘🏻
Yaaassssss!!!!! This is sick!!
can you guys get one of the new canyon spectrals and do a review on it? and maybe do a little comparison to a strive? im tossing up between these two bikes and im really not sure. thaks guys love the videos!
Blake, I taught a 23 yr lass to ride a few years ago, who had never ridden as a child. I used an MTB with pedals off as a balance bike for her, but watched her fall sideways over and over. I had to study why she could not balance. Eventually, I realised that to balance you have to steer into the fall. I'm watching you ride fake exactly the same as she rode forward. Falling too far, then making huge corrective movements that go into occupation, out of control. Smaller movements earlier are the key. Today's challenge for me.....learn to fakie.
When you guys ride mountain bikes on the street, what tyres and pressures do you like to run? Thanks for the lesson! I'm gonna go out right now to practice
Just an added tip from a bmx rider who is starting to ride mtb if you have a local skate park that allows bikes go find a 4-5 quarter and just ride up do a little hop then start your fakie my opinion this is the easiest way you have more momentum then a stoppie to fakie or a stoppie against the wall to fakie my take your shins out a couple times but trust me this is the best way
Love it
Can you make a video on how to lift the rear wheel with flat pedals?
Does the fat bike balance alot easier, I assume so lol.. This is awesome video following the original curb vid. Tom needs to be in a vid or two.. Like "meet GMBN".. I totally feel like a dingle berry as I'm living in California and didn't realize it was Sea Otter and everyone I could have met! Bummer
You are cool, guys 👌
Nice progression session!

Blakey can fakey !!! Do a poll on the next GMBN show
Great show their guys and finally after watching for so long I SAW TOM 👀
"Blakey can't Fakie" is one of my favorite Mr Ashton quotes 😂
Great video but how can I find some cheap grips (desent grips if possible) for my bike and some new clip in peddles and new clip in shoes because I have recently bought a new bike thank you for reading this comment

I'd say my biggest problem is going off the vertical when I try to turn to end up fakie. I lean towards the center of a circle I'm moving on. So I lose a balance.
what are your thoughts on a specialised rockhopper pro 2015
finally!
Hey guys I’m 15 and want to start racing enduros, but I am worried if I get an enduro bike it would not be fun for just daily trail riding. Would you say it’s better to just get a long travel trail bike? Any bike suggestions?
We love u
1000th like!!
What pedals does Blake have on his bike?
Why have you to been to the bike festival at riva del garda?
I'm practicing
4:20 I am in my driveway which has a hill practicing and when he said go in a higher gear I switched up and peddled forwards but I hit my house so I fakied back to change up my gear without reallizing I was fakieing
What's wrong with corrective hops?
Hi gmbn
When did this start being called a fakie? Coming from bmx, this was a roll-back. A fakie was riding up a quarter pipe leaving the ramp, then return backwards and roll back and turn/spin out. Confusing for us older riders!
BATH!!!!! Yay
More weight on the back wheel will make it easier to steer. ;) (bmx tips)
The thing is blake can fakie and corrective hops is commonly used
Is that in Manchester?
Advice for anyone trying to learn to fakie: get your arse way over the back wheel and weight way down low. Helps loads.
Blake is "the shit"- seriously cool dude.... But Marty is my hero. Check out Chainspotting - still my fav bike movie.
At 4:57 ... HOPPING!!!! You weren't supposed to do the corrective hopping, but you're doing it a LOT... I only say that from your early days on the channel... PEDALLING!!! :p
