Learn to 3D model in Vectric Aspire. Episode 1- Convert a 2D bitmap image into a 3D model.

In this video I show in depth how to convert a bitmap image of Jiminy cricket from Pinocchio into a 3D model. I use one of the best software applications for 3D modeling for CNC, Vectric Aspire. This method will work with just about any image. This is episode number one of a multi-part tutorial series on 3D designing in Vectric Aspire Version 11.

By the finger and the hat. Could you have cut the vector at the fingers, then offset by .001 and than rejoin the vector with the body and continue with the hat?

Brian, this method will only work with Aspire. You can import 3D models in V carve, but only create them in Aspire.

Hi, Could you do this on an ipad with a Apple pencil. Just trace the image? Not sure if there is an app for that. I am trying to find the most simpliest solution for an old fart like me

I don't think they have a native app for iPad that I am aware of. However you could use a remote desktop app I would think to control your computer from your iPad.
