I love potato candy! When we were kids my mom used to make this for us growing up. She taught me and now I make it for my children.

Never even heard about it, if I ever get the chance to I'll try it and see if I like it.

My Irish grandmother and mom used to make this...and it stems from the Irish settlers. It just happened to have been made during the depression. Most people had large families. My grandma used to take the leftover potatoes and made it as a dessert for her 7 children. It's kinda rude to say it was a 'poor people's candy'. It is still eaten nowadays by many.

It's not rude if it's true... this was generally made by people with very little money to satisfy their sweet tooth with what they had on hand.

Have you ever actually tried it or are you being childish? If you like peanut butter, you'd like it.
