Learn the Igbo Language Alphabet: Full lesson (with examples and pronunciation)
In this video we take a whole new approach to understanding and mastering the sounds of letters of the Igbo language alphabet matching them to their closest sound in English.
I also make a distinction between the names of the letters and the actual sounds they make in a word. This is the third video in the alphabet series.

I know a lot of you will ask, must I learn the letters of the Igbo alphabet before I can speak the Igbo language? Well the simple answer is no. You don't have to know the letters of the Igbo alphabet in order to speak the Igbo language. A good percent of native speakers do not know how to say the letters of the Igbo alphabet. Many won't even recognize them if you showed it to them.
However, it is worthy to mention that knowing the letters of the Igbo Alphabet will increase your speed at mastering the Igbo language and to sound like a native speaker when you do. Outside of that, there is nothing to beat yourself up about.

Can you teach slower please, I'm learning to speak and write and read igbo after loosing my memory after a headon collision by a drunk driver and ended up in a wheelchair and having to learn how to speak, spell, walk and write again. It's three times harder for me to relearn my languages but I'm determine to do so for Ministrie purposes. I can now walk and out of a wheelchair and trying to learn my Spanish language, igbo language, and Hebrew language again.

@awhshitherewegoagain8684 ok thank you so much. I get so frustrated at times because I used to be so smart and had a great memory before I had this accident so now I have had to start from the very bottom now. Just relearning how to talk and walk and remember. It's coming back slowly now after 25 years. But thank God I have him to help me.

Ok sir...But I just need help on how to tackle exam questions on igbo. How do I learn to know the meaning of this word, what it's talking about...Do you have a video for that, pls
@IgboMadeEasy
2 жыл бұрын
For this you will have to know a lot of word so you will be able to have a context in which to place the other words that are unfamiliar to you. That is the only way to deal with this kind of situation. You can only know the meaning of a word by knowing the meaning of the root words (if it's a compound word), or knowing the meaning of the word itself as a word, or deducing the meaning from the context.

Why teach igbo language with English?
@IgboMadeEasy

You cannot teach lgbo in English it's wrong, you are not even pronouncing the lgbo language correct.
