Yeah that’s just a longer way to say ‘aerodrom’ and also it’s, as people in Croatia say, “more Croatian” haha in a way that it doesn’t originate from other languages like ‘aerodrom’ does.

In Restaurant. May I have a look at the kitchen, please? ( Molim vas smijem li pogledati kuhinju? ) How old is this black oil in the fryer? ( Koliko je staro ovo crno ulje u fritezi? ) Why is there no leftover food in the trash can? ( Zašto nema ostataka nepojedene hrane u kanti za otpatke? ) Do you throw away uneaten food or serve it to another guest? ( Da li bacate ostatke nepojedene hrane ili ih servirate drugom gostu?) Why do you keep expired foods in the fridge? ( Zašto držite u frižideru namirnice kojima je istekao rok trajanja? ) If I didn't get the bill, I'm not obliged to pay, goodbye. ( Ako nisam dobio račun nisam dužan platiti, doviđenja. )

You're correct, "aerodrom" and "zračna luka" are synonyms :) both mean "airport"

Surely it's better to try a little bit than to expect every Croatian to speak and understand English. When I travel outside the UK I always try to learn a few words o the country's language. I think it's a sign of respect. I'm visiting Croatia in a few days and I've found these clips very useful, Vidimo se uskoro!

@@scottcompany4040 bravo! Well english language has 4 cases of nouns we have 7...and besides that we have,in many examples,several words meaning the same thing....depends on the dialect in Croatia. There are 3 main dialects but in reality there are dozens. But the best thing about Croatian language is if you will learn it you will be abke to read and understand 14 other languages...more or less be able...im having some dificulties with Czech and Polish but i can read them...just to tell you what i mean

Reading and writing Croatian is easy part...much easier than English....it took me years to learn to speak English both written and oral to be able to have conversation as in my native....almost...so it is not impossibile. Former British ambasador spoke Croatian like one of us so if he could do it...Cheers mate
