yes if you learn Spanish now because of you're Spanish friend that is brilliant and I suggest you hire an online tutor to teach since there are many available and at a very low cost so you can speak spanish with your spanish friends and community as soon as possible . otherwise you might quit and trying to learn later can sometimes be close to impossible.

Apart from being an excellent teacher, you simply made my day with your contagious humour and laugh. Muchas gracias, en verdad.

I always love her videos. They get better and better.

I really appreciate how you write on the white board and leave it up the whole time. It allows me to put to memory and then look at again when I've already forgotten it 30 seconds later. Others will sometimes only flash the phrase on the screen for 10 seconds.

you should have totally taken her class and imagine how much progress in spanish you could have made by now and probably be even able to speak spanish so that everyone you know would be impressed and the entire Latin American people would be available to you.

I am not sure you’ll have the time to go through all posts on your videos, or if someone has asked for this before, but here goes. Hi Ana, Do you suppose you could add subtitles (subtitles in Spanish) to your video, just for the parts where you are talking in Spanish? I try hard, very hard to understand what you say, but by the time I catch a word and refer to what I know (like KZread buffering) and figure out what you have said, you have finished saying it. Also it would help me get some spellings right. For example, in one of your lessons where you were teaching “ir”, you said “Ya me voy” and it had me confounded, doubting what I had learnt in the past months because I thought it was “llame voy”! And I spent some hours going through my previous notes. I haven’t joined a formal class of any sort, primarily due to an uncertain work schedule, but I have my mind set on learning this language. I can understand it will be a lot of additional work for you, adding subtitles to the Spanish bits. But it is just a request. You are doing a wonderful job and I love your enthusiasm, dedication and diligence, all of it plays a very big part of what keeps me motivated to keep at it. Thank you

Greetings. I see you are kind of confused when it comes to learning Spanish. I can help you with that, since it is my native language. By the way, the correct sentence is "Ya me voy" it would be similar to "I am already leaving" though "I am leaving" is more common in English. "Ir" is an irregular verb, and it is conjugated like this, in the present: Yo voy Tú vas Ella/él/usted va Nosotros vamos Vosotros vais Ellos van "Llame" is a form of the verb "llamar" it could be the imperative form, for example "Llame a la empresa para obtener información sobre ese asunto" In English "Call the company to get some information about that issue" (Do not confuse "llame" with "llamé") "Llame" can also be a subjunctive form of the verb "llamar" e.g: espera hasta que yo llame a mi abogado. Well, if you want me to assist you, let me now, I can help you with that.

What you are experiencing is quite typical. In my spanish classes my profesor speaks spanish a lot. He has done this since the first class. You would think that speaking spanish at the beginning of spanish 101 would not be a good idea. What happens though is that after hearing the spanish words and sentences, you begin to understand. This is somewhat like immersion and somewhat like you learned english. Your mother did not tell you about, present, preterite, and imperfect tenses but yet you learned. So I think that this is how it works. Spanish teachers speak spanish and you catch some words and not others. Your comprehension will improve with time.

Thanks for another great video. I try to watch one every day and give it my full attention in order to get to the point where I can at least have even a small general idea of what Spanish speakers are saying.

I have learned so much more and learned much faster watching your videos than I have in my entire first semester of college Spanish. I also love the animated personality in your teaching. It keeps our interest, clearly shows the context and the humor is fantastic. On an unrelated side note, I have a difficult time watching this without noticing the strong resemblance to Brittany Murphy (RIP Brittany). Just an observation :-)
