Done!! Enjoy!
Fun fact! We have the word 'enamored" in English and it is proper to say "enamored of", as a Spanish-speaker might.

Ah, that's good to know. It sounds odd to me, but that might just be because I rarely use the word enamored in English.

One can never forget the 1066 Norman Conquest. Enamorara comes from the 1066. Let us see the usage as it come into modern and middle English. Here it is Eu me apaixonei por Juan. Ela está apaixonada por Juan. Ele está apaixonado por ela. See that por that means by Juan. Lets look at French Je tombe amoureuse de Juan. Elle est amoureuse de Juan. Il est amoureux d'elle.. See the fell in love with... ablativo case of a joint action. De the love comes to her from Juan. Or the love comes to her by way of Juan. Now the Spanish Enamoro con Juan. Ellas es enamorado de Juan. El está enamorado de ella. I used the Spanish as the template to start translation because I know the world is a 1066 world and that in love Is Germanic. The con translates just fine. So it must as in French mean something diffrent as in She and Juan fell in love "with" each other. The de Is moreorless that she was taken to the point of love by Juan as in Portuguese. This means we have to return to Latin. Which means I have to use Italiano as the source language. That also means I have to go from DeepL Translate to Google TranslateMi sono innamorata di Juan. Lei è innamorata di Juan. Lui è innamorato di lei. See that prefixed in- ? Now Latin Iohanni adamavit. Iohanna amat. Is est in amore cum ea.. sée that ad- but no in - because in- prefix Is not in Latin. But ab- Is the ablativo case marker to come to. The con of Spanish the with of English are still standing but the Latin totally drops enamorar and but in the direct Verb Amore. Does one have to do all of that? Yes because enamorado Is noun of daily use like Boyfriend in English. It is Namorado in Portuguese. Spelled antiguamente Na Amorado. To be the lover of Juan.

Look at the last phrase in Latin sée cum. Thet is the ablativo case with again. Sometimes things get circular. That does not bother me. Sorry if it bothers anyone else but as I say to native Spanish speaker no one forced you to keep speaking Spanish. In Italiano and Português no one gets upset because in those languages they know it is impossible to use them without Latin. The French feel the same as the Português and Italianos.

Can use enamored by. Or Enamored with. But I just want to point out that "enamored by" would change the actor, e.g. "I was enamored of/with the audience" describes how you feel about the audience, but "I was enamored by the audience" describes how the audience felt about you. So they're still all acceptable, but not quite equal/interchangeable.

I looked up the verb to tell, it’s decir but in the video Paul used diga instead of dice. I liked this video because I learned a lot of new vocubalary, grammar and yes checked my dictionary.😊
Awesome video as always. A part 2 would be greatly appreciated. Classrooms tend to be constant conjugation and these plug and play examples are a great help.

This way we could copy and paste your wonderful examples into our word lists, though typing them out is good practice of course. Thanks so much for your hard work in creating these wonderful videos! Yes to part 2! Getting the preposition wrong is a common mistake for me. And also I could really use a list of verbs that include the preposition in their meaning so you DON'T need to add it.
Yes, more of these please.

Creo que este es uno de los temas más importantes para aprender español. Estoy mejorando pero he cometido bastantes errors usando la preposición equivocada con el verbo. Si agregas otro video acerca de este tema, sería fantástico. Gracias por tu buen trabajo.

Another phrase for future videos that I think English speakers often get confused by: “Dar por sentado” (take for granted, assume, accept as true). Not really a logical if translated literally (Give for seated??? 😂)
Hey Qroo you make very great content! I agree that you should make a part 2 but I would like to suggest a video topic. One day If you could make a video on using both indirect and direct pronouns in a sentence would be a game changer because on youtube it is hard to find that content. For example, cuidame la casa por favor, and then one would say, " sin problema, te la cuido. keep up the great work.

Ayy youre getting into the subjuntivo. Seems as if que triggers it ? Is that correct or not in all cases ??
@QrooSpanish
9 ай бұрын
It does often follow que but it is normally triggered by something before the QUE. I hope Juan arrives early. Espero que Juan llegue temprano. LLEGUE is in the subjunctive. It does follow QUE, but the reason is that you are saying that you HOPE something.

I would recommend watching this series. There is a lot of info packed into the nine lessons that I have posted there.
Paul, when speaking with my friend in spanish he corrected me when I said Yo tengo mucho para aprender y me dijo , diga yo tengo mucho "que" aprender. Are there instances when que is used instead of para, de, a , en etc. And if so are there other examples when you would use que as in that sentence? Is it a situation where "que" is used always after mucho and before a verb in the infinitive.....eg. Hay mucho que ver? Hay mucho que hacer , no hay mucho que decir aqui.....etc.
@QrooSpanish
11 ай бұрын
With tener "que" is used instead of "para": Tenemos mucho que hacer: We have a lot to do. That would be a great video topic. Thanks.
If contar con is to “count on” something, then out of curiosity, how would I “count with” my 4 year old niece in Spanish? She likes to show me how high she can count every time I see her :)

Would something like "Le enamoré . . . " be functional, or would that be a whole other meaning--or meaningless?
@QrooSpanish
11 ай бұрын
You can use enamorar to mean "to win someone's heart" or "make them fall in love". That will use direct object pronouns: me,te,lo,la,nos,os, los, las. La enamoré - I won her heart. (I made her fall in love)
What is an effective way to use a long word list? Simply reading through it takes too long and is not effective.

Spanish prepositions don't often match English. In Spainish, we dream "with" people and things, not "of" them.
