HOW TO BREAKDANCE Windmill progression 2022 🙏🙏🙏😍😍 kzread.info/dash/bejne/da6iqM9qYqu4fqg.html&ab_channel=BBoyKB94
The windmill was one of the first moves I learned back when I was around 14. The hardest part is coming back around. Instead of going into the turtle freeze like he is teaching, think of it as rolling down a hill, keep hands tucked in and legs open. Once you gain speed, you can learn the different windmill variations. Nutcracker and the handcuff were my favorite. These days now windmill is considered a basic powermove and the airfare is the standard.

As a beginner, I really appreciate this: the most comprehensive, intuitive tutorial I've ever seen. I've tried to learn this several times, then given up. But after this video, I'm actually able to give it one full rotation at a time now, with a good understanding of what my body is supposed to be doing. I have to give my wrist a rest break for a day or two, but for the first time I'm confident that I can do it, with some more practice.
Me: That's rad! *i imagine myself breakdancing for 5 minutes* Breaker style unlocked Me 30 seconds later: slams back on the floor and kicks into a corner, damaging my pinkie

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for posting these videos. I learned this move in like... 1983 I think. I had (well, me - my crew, and all the crews in town) bruises on one hip (the first hip to contact the floor after you begin rotation) for an entire summer as we figured this move out. They were so bad, we were using old school knee pads on our bruised hips while we practiced. But once one guy broke through and figured it out - it was the coolest thing. The sense of accomplishment was never really equaled, even with headspins. It's like the ice breaking move, if you can learn this, then with dedication, there are no limits. Except for flares ;) I never got those down. I'm 50 now... A little out of shape, but after watching this and a couple of your other videos, I think I will put the Flare on my new years resolution list. I still have my basic 80's footwork, and am working on recovering my toprock (thanks to your video, btw) and can still do the windmill too.. though not sure I can bust out no-handers just yet (maybe on a padded floor, haha). So, thanks for the effort and dedication you display. I'm inspired. Peace!

Jerry Hazard - dude, your comment gave me flashbacks...summer '84, in the garage with 3 layers of cardboard snagged from the back of Sears (Whirlpool or Kenmore boxes). We'd run inside and watch VHS tapes of music videos to study the moves, then go try to recreate battle scenes from Beat Street like the Roxy or the subway while blasting music like Herbie Hancock or 'Battle Cry Rockers Revenge' on a giant boom box from a bootleg cassette tape. Fat laces, wrist and head bands, bandanas color matched to your knee pads. And you are so right - there was nothing like the feeling of putting your first few windmills together...or windmilling into a backspin so fast you'd get light-headed. I watch these Bboy Powermove vids now and react just like the crowds "OOOOHHHHH, DAAAAAAMMMMNNNN, WHAAAAAAT???" The new stuff is unreal. I think "hell yeah, let's find a mat at a gym and bust out some of this!" Then, I check my mail and have letters from AARP. 😫

At 18 I used to windmill instinctively to the breakdance beat. Now at 58, with thirty years off, I gotta think about it step by step with this video. I'm almost there. When young, the body just moves and the mind has to catch up. Older it's in reverse lol.
@zoneplayzbedwars815
Жыл бұрын
40 years u mean?
For anyone out there who have been working on this and it's not working, as an old man now, who used to do windmills, I do disagree with prerequisities portion of the video. Just because you can backspin may not really mean you have what it takes to do mills. I can still back spin well even as an old man, but my mills are long gone. I did not get mills fast, and so I remember practicing this for a long time not understanding why I couldn't get mills down and I learned during that time you really should have strong hip flexibility to really allow your legs to open when you mill. Without flexible hips that allow your hips/legs to really open, your legs will never really gain that momentum to allow you to fly even if you get the technique down. When I finally got my mills way back when, the way I would describe it is it was like flying, once I did the initial technique to get the mill started, my legs and the momentum just did the work for me. If you look at OP he's got excellent flexibility in his hips, (doesn't have to be like acrobat level) that allows his legs to lock and carry him once he's gotten going. It was a completely different experience then when I was just bruising up all my shoulders and legs trying to get it to work. W/o the hip flexibility to open up and allow your legs to take you, you'll always feel like you're doing the starting technique over and over again, so it's boring as all heck, but I would work on splits, and a bunch of hip opening/flexibility exercises in order for you to take advantage of all the technique that's here. Take it from a formerly unathletic young dude who's now an old and unathletic old dude.

Amigo, você é muito bom em ensinar! Sou dos velhos tempos (80s) e gostei muito de ver seu vídeo. Parabéns! Abraços do Brasil.
Best tutorial I’ve found so far
Before reaching 47 I will finally learn the Windmill! Awesome tutorial and you're a great motivator!

You can do windmill now?
IMO this is the best Windmill I have viewed. I was able to do the windmill back in the early 80's after pain, tears and lots of bruises. I am going to learn to Windmill again, and this lesson will make it a lot easier, as I am a lot older. Brilliant work Pigme. Hip Hop all the way.
this video is the first thing in years that has actually gotten me excited to try
MY FAVOURITE breakdance is the Windmills. I just love watching them.
Thank you so much, man! It's the best tutorial I've ever seen. It starts slowly and easily and get complete at the end. First I thought that your look were weird but they give some physiological support for starters. Thank you so much for your help! You look like Colin Farrell.
I love this new (“no nonsense”) style of tutorial Lucas ...not that your other tuts are any less for the additional entertainment style - but I really think this is a very good explanation of the move.
mega, great video, imma start learning too. i am be back when i got it done. thanks for the inspiration. keep up the good work!!
This helped me so much!

It has been a life long dream to do this. You made it happen. TY

Great vid as always! Awesome to see how much better your tutorials are now!!!

Thanks... It really helped me... This is not the first time I'm watching it.. But repeating it gave me a brighter understanding.. Thanks Pigme

Man this is the best tutorial I've seen on the windmills. Thanks a lot I subscribed
I went into this with full confidence, ready to rule the world and knock this out of the ballpark! Ready to show off my dance skills and my sweet moves to those who doubted me! Knowing nothing could possibly get in my way and i couldn't be defeated or made a fool of! Then i went for it- down on the ground ready for victory- and my noodle arms gave out immediately... I didn't win this battle, but ill prepare and win the war!
Gonna be in my bucket list...
I just came here to learn because my dad doesn't get out of work till 6 pm so I'm pretty much alone at my house *breaks vase*
